Situated on the popular Estrada Monumental, where many 5 star hotels restaurants,bars ,shops,supermarket, banks, taxi rank, bus stop,are all within a few minutes walk. The centre of Funchal is a 5-10min ride by bus/taxi. Or a pleasant walk along the promenade for about 25 minutes. There is a coastal promenade adjacent to the apartment complex, which also gives access to natural rocks pools, a stony beach and two swimming complexes. Also, there is a health club, with indoor swim/pool, sauna, turkish bath, gym, tennis court, etc close by.

The total floor area of the apartment is a generous 86 sq.mtrs and comprises of one large double bedroom with
fitted wardrobes, bedsides / dressing tables, full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, spacious lounge/diner,
and balcony.. The lounge/diner, kitchen and bedroom all have sea views. The furnishings of the apartment are
very comfortable and to a very high standard. The lounge/diner has a large panoramic window and is furnished with a comfortable 3 seater sofa, and two sides tables, TV/CD/DVD player, dining room table and 4 chairs. The kitchen has fitted units, hob with extractor fan, an oven, microwave, firidge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher. Airer for drying. Iron and ironing board. Some books, CDs and DVDs.We supply all linen and towels including beach towels, and hairdyer, electric fan. Weekly change of the beds and towels and cleaning of the apartment. A welcome pack is also provided for your arrival. We have tried to cater for your every need.

This spacious balcony receives plenty of sun and there is a table and 3 chairs, and one sunlounger ,umbrella and plants.
Very relaxing balcony for you to enjoy the sunshine and a drink, and watch the boats and cruise liners go by.
We require a 25% deposit on booking to secure your reservation, and balance is require 6 weeks prior to
your departure date of your holiday.
The rate for the apartment is for 2 persons.
The apartment sleeps 2 persons in the european queen size bed, There is a sofa bed in the lounge but is only suitable for a small framed adult.
The apartment is not suitable young children.
Strictly no smoking accept on balcony.
We can accept payment in pounds, or dollars, or euros.( Sterling cheque or via bank transfer)
On your arrival we can arrange for transport to and from the airport for you . We have a father and
son taxi driver's who we have used for many years, and are friendly and very reliable, and speak good
English. They will collect you from the airport and take you to the apartment where we will be there to greet you, and show you around the apartment, and to answer any questions you may have. There will a welcome pack
for you on arrival also. If you should need any extra help or advice on anything we would be pleased to help.
The apartment is very central, with good transport available close by, but if you should wish to hire a car, there is an underground parking space available in the building.
On your departure we will return to the apartment to bid you farewell and ensure you have had a good holiday.
Time of departure from the apartment on the day is flexible, depending on the time of new arrival's.
The usual time is 10am, but luggage can be left until your departure to the airport.

The Madeira region
Madeira is a beautiful, warm, friendly island in the middle of the altantic ocean. Mountains, gardens, array of
flowers, and wonderful plants.
The climate is warm and sunny all year, some say the perfect climate.
There are plenty of places to visit for the history of the island,i.e. Nuns Valley, many churches and catherdals, Monte Gardens,and Botancial gardens. Beautiful Levada Walks, Pico Aeerio (one of the highest points, breathtaking views). You will find every where you go in Madeira it is quite special.
The Funchal / Ajuda area
Within a few minutes walking distance of the apartment, there is a beautiful promenade leading to rock pools
and a stony beach, and two swimming complexes. A heatlh Club with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, turkish bath, massage and beauty treatments, full gym, classes of all kinds.There are several places close
by for fishing.There is a shopping centre, with 100 shops, 7 screen cinema, ( english speaking films) Internet
cafes if needed just across the road. Lovely restaurants of all kinds- Portuguese, wonderful fish, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Japanese.
Two fantastic and challenging Golf courses- Palherio - 15mins drive- Santo de Serra - 30mins drive from the apartment. We are pleased to be able to offer a 30% discount on green fees at Palherio golf course.
Watersports, Handgliding, sailing, Dolphin and Whale watching, Big Game Fishing, Diving.
Festivals- Carnvial, beautiful parade- Feb, Flower Festival, April, has to be seen. Competition

A large number of airlines fly into Funchal Airport, depending on your country of departure. i.e. TAP, Sata, Thomson's Thomson's Cook, Easyjet, Jet 2.from England.
There are several car hire companies at the airport, and a number of different hire car companies in
Taxi's and buses are available outside the airport, although the buses are not very frequent.
We can arrange taxi service for you to be met at the arrival gate, by our own taxi driver, who charges a
special rate to our guests- 28 euros each way, and he will bring you to the apartment where we are there to greet you.
The journey from the airport is approximately 20 minutes.
It is not really necessary to hire a car, because the location of the apartment is very central for
all your needs.

First time we had found self-catering accommodation abroad online and were not initially sure if we could trust any reviews or pictures or descriptions. But this was more than we expected

The apartment lived up to its description. Spacious and very well equipped - there was absolutely nothing lacking. Plenty of reading matter and DVDs, ample towels, comfortable bed - nothing to quibble over at all. WiFi was wonderful. Well maintained in a safe and high quality development.
We liked the location as it allowed us the walk in to the centre of Funchal, but buses are frequent and easy to use, stopping just yards from the door. There is also a taxi rank directly outside the building. Good supermarket, cinema and many other shops and cafes directly opposite. All in all an excellent destination.
