There are lots of places to visit:
Cartagena - A Large historic Naval Port
As I have mentioned in previous information, there are lots to see and do if you want to explore, but if you just want to chill out especially in July & August as it is very hot then the Finca is ideal for this, the pool is very private, there are lots of books for you to read, you do not not to think about filling your case with towels these are all provided for both the pool and the Finca, all bed linen is provided. The local village La Pinilla has 2 bars set around a central park where you can go and enjoy a Tapas or 2 with the locals, there is also a bank, post office and health centre. During the Easter months there are lots of holy celebrations happening, Cartagena has some great parades to go and see especially the ones in the evening where there are some very long processions all lite up and covered with wonderful smelling flowers - worth a visit both in the evening and on Easter Sunday.
During the summer months it seems like life is just one long Fiesta where if you check website www.murciatoday.com you can find out which village has their Fiesta week, the Spanish certainly know how to party they start at around 7pm and go on well into the early hours of the next day. Fuente Alamo has their Fiesta in the last 2 weeks of August, La Pinilla has theirs in the first week of September all worth a visit everyone is very friendly and a great way to practice your Spanish.
