This lovely 2 bedroom ground floor apartment is situated on the seafront right opposite the beach. From the open plan lounge/dining area step out onto the glazed terrace, perfect for the summer as the doors slide right back and ideal for the winter as they give you an additional room. From the terrace you walk straight into the lovely gardens and you are right beside the 'guitar' shaped swimming pool. From the gardens you have direct access to the miles of flat promenade with its many beach bars and restaurants, so why not stop and enjoy a nice meal, or a cool drink or stock up at the two local supermarkets that are 2-3 minutes walk in either direction.
The apartment is ideal for young children as the gardens are safe & secure and the pool has a nice shallow end, there are children play areas with climbing frames etc at various locations on the beaches which are entirely free.

The lounge has a two and a three seater sofa, coffee tables, bookcase stocked with books & videos, a CD player, TV & Playstation 2 console (please bring your own games). From the lounge there is a comfortable terrace furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco, there are 2 sunbeds chairs where you can enjoy a cool beer or glass of wine before dinner. Also there are glass patio door for your privacy which can be locked for added security. Both bedrooms have fitted mirrored wardrobes and twin beds ideal for families, friends & golfers alike. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of crockery, glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils so please make full use of the dishwasher. The airing cupboard is well supplied with bedlinen, tea towels, bath & hand towels, but please bring your own beach towels. The shower is a spacious floor level walk-in shower.
Further details outdoors:
The three apartment blocks that make up the Porlamar residences are only 3 storeys high in a secure gated complex with private parking accessed via electronic remote controlled gates. There is direct access from the garden to the promenade and a life guard is in attendance around the pool during high season. The gardens are maintained to a high standard and the pool is kept in pristine condition.

Taxi's can be booked on request, but are freely available at the airport, please ask if you would like to book for your return journey.
Although the apartment is not adapted for wheelchair users people with limited mobility will find the apartment suitable.

Saturday to Saturday bookings preferred in high season.
25% of rental fee is due at time of booking and the balance required eight weeks before your arrival date.

The Costa del Sol region


The Costa Del Sol has an average of 330 sunshine days each year and a plethora of leisure, recreational, cultural and sporting facilities to sample, its no surprise that the Costa Del Sol is internationally renowned as the California of Europe.
Andalucia has something for everyone, from history & natural beauty to sun and beach. The list of places to visit, sights to see and activities is endless. Here are just a few - The white village of Mijas is easily reached by local bus. Here you may visit the Bullfighting museum, enjoy lunch on the balcony, an area of Mijas, with panoramic views of the coast. Later gently wander the narrow winding streets selecting souvenirs from the artisans along the way.
Malaga City also has a lot to offer. Take a short train ride from Los Boliches and hop on the city tour bus that leaves at regular intervals from in front of the train station - it couldn't be easier. See the Cathedral, Picasso birth place & Museum, and much more. The tour bus has audio in different languages to explain the local history.
The Marina of Puerto Banus with it's designer shopping is 30 minutes by car.
Gibraltar is also very accessible, coaches can be booked from the many travel agents in the area, don't forget your passport.
The Fuengirola / Los Boliches area
The visitor to this part of the Costa del Sol is certainly spoiled for choice when it comes to things to do and places to go. Miles of sandy beaches with water sports, fishing and sight-seeing, boat trips, excursions to family attractions such as Aqua parks, Theme Parks, Wildlife Parks, cable car rides, and beautifully landscaped 18 hole golf courses, i.e. Torrequebrada Golf, Mijas Golf, La Cala Resort Golf, Miraflores Golf, Santana Golf, Cabopino Golf, Aloha Golf Club, Guadalmina Golf Club & Valderrama, these are just a sample of what's on offer. The ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada's are 2 hours drive from the apartment, so ski in the morning & sunbathe in the afternoon.
Families with children are well catered for on the Costa del Sol. Besides the nearby sandy beach, there are Aqua parks in Fuengirola (10 mins drive) and Torremolinos (15 mins drive). An excellent Zoo is also to be found in Fuengirola which is good to visit during the day or evenings in July & August. Torremolinos hosts the new Crocodile Park near the Aqua park.
The Tivoli World Centre in Benalmadena (10 mins drive) is a must for an evening out - it has a large funfair with rides for children of all ages, and regular children's musical entertainment, also restaurants and bars, and you can take the spectacular cable car ride to the top of the mountain. Selwo Marine also in Benalmadena is another good place to visit, here you will see a spectacular dolphin display and sealions perform amongst other sealife attractions.

Los Boliches is quiet and peaceful, yet only fifteen minutes easy walk to the larger resort of Fuengirola, which includes the popular Tuesday market for bargain hunting, shopping malls, hypermarkets and many excellent restaurants for eating out, including the famous so called "fish alley" which caters for every taste imaginable.
