About the home

Situated in the most lively, bustling town on the costa del sol. You'll find a warm welcome and entertainment to suit all pockets, age groups and different theme holidays. Whether you're a family, a group of friends, or extended family, you'll find that Fuengirola has many things to offer. The location of this property is ideal. It has become, by far, the most popular area of Fuengirola in the past few years. You'll see why as you read on. This property has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Situated in an unbeatable location. 100 metres from the beach. I have measured the distance for accuracy, in what's considered by the locals to be part of the centre of town. Definitely suitable and has proven to be very popular with all age groups due to the central location.

A complimentary welcome pack is provided for your arrival, consisting of something to drink and a snack. which enables you to settle down, unpack, and unwind after your journey. No need to run out to the shops straight away. Very handy when travelling with young children (though the supermarket is a 4 minute walk) and a great start to your holiday.

Up to date tourist information about places to visit, public transport, amenities and activities etc is also provided at the apartment. Its on the 3rd floor of a six storey building with lift and stair access.

The front of the property is orientated towards the beach and overlooks the new park and a children's playground. The back overlooks the tennis courts. Myramar is a large complex made up of 2 streets. The swimming pool is situated around the corner from the apartment. We don't overlook the pool area which is quite a godsend because it means we don't suffer from the noise when it's open and it's more peaceful. You'll find that you're not overlooked by any high rise buildings immediately in front or behind the block. It has easy access to all amenities, so a car is unnecessary to get around the town.

The terrain of this side of Fuengirola is completely flat, making it a comfortable place for people with restricted mobility, families with small children or simply for those who don't enjoy climbing hills to get back home.

We provide toys, beach toys, books, games, and DVDs.. For adults, we offer music CDs, DVDs and English books.
There are table tennis tables and basketball courts at the riverside park that can be used free of charge. Table tennis bats and balls and a basketball is provided at the apartment for you to use.

The terrace has dining furniture and an awning to shade you from the strong summer sun that enters the front of the apartment in the morning. The afternoon or evening sun, depending on the season of year,shines on the rear of the apartment. Quality linen and bath towels are provided. Beach towels are available for the fee 2 euros each, allowing you to travel a little lighter.

There are king size beds in two of the bedrooms, in the 3rd, 2 single beds and in the 4th, 2 single beds. All bedrooms have wardrobes and the 2 bedrooms to the rear have child proof locks on windows. The two double bedrooms have direct access to the terrace.

One bathroom has a fullsize bath and a wall shower, the other has a 1/2 size bath with shower. There is a first aid cabinet and a hair dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons and ample cooking utensils , crockery and electrical appliances etc

The sitting room is very spacious with a dining area. It has a large television, music system and Dvd. It has direct access to the terrace. You'll find fans in ALLl the rooms for the summer months and mica thermal emitters in EVERY room for the cooler winter season.
This is most important as the evenings in winter can be very cold if the property isn't heated properly. There is a security intercom for access to building.

There is on street free parking to the front of the apartment block and private parking, exclusive to residents of the urbanization to the rear. If you have rented a car, you will be given the remote control to use to gain access to parking area.

Please note that there is wheelchair access but the apartment is NOT wheelchair adapted. Please enquire on suitability if any of your group has special needs or is wheel chair dependant

Further details outdoors:
Myramar is a very popular complex due to the facilities provided and ofcourse it's proximity to the town centre and beach. It benefits from 2 swimming pools, one large one and a smaller, shallow one for non swimmers, children and those with limited mobility. There is a lifeguard on duty at all times. This is open from the middle of June to the middle of September. Parasols are available in the gardens and you'll find toilet and changing facilities. There are light weight beach chairs and a couple of parasols that can be taken down to the pool or beach.

This community has very well maintained gardens and there's a tennis court on site. Rackets and balls are provided free of charge.

Over the road you'll see a new park, with bicycle lanes, gardens, children's play area, exercise machines and skating area. An open air bar has recently opened, so you can watch the children while having a drink. There are also plenty of benches around the play areas.

The comfortable terrace has an awning to keep off the heat of the sun in high summer. No barbecue is available as the community prohibits it for safety reasons.

The centre of town is a ten minute walk, or, 15 minute stroll along the promenade. The beach is just 2 minutes walk away. The nearest beach to the apartment is called Playa Santa Amalia and has been awarded with the blue flag from the European Union. This award has been given to all the beaches in Fuengirola this year, ensuring safety and cleanliness of the waters.

Local bus stops are just 2 minutes walk away. In the complex you'll find a bakery, newsagent, DVD club, phone booths, a convenience store and 4 bars and restaurants. No further than 5 minutes walk away you'll find the Eroski shopping mall, bank, supermarket and pharmacy. Italian, Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Basque and local cuisine are all found within 6 mins walk as well as may cafeterias, snack bars etc.

Regional bus stops, minigolf, waterpark, zoo are all within 12 mins walk.

You can walk everywhere as most attractions and forms of entertainment are situated in West central Fuengirola, where this apartment block is located. You can see this on google maps.

If extra shopping is required, the guests are invited to send a shopping list via email, 48 hours before commencing their holiday and will be charged accordingly on arrival. There is a service charge for this.

To secure your booking we require non refundable 25% deposit of the full amount. The remaining amount is payable on arrival, in euros.

The breakage deposit is payable on arrival and will be returned on your departure, subject to satisfactory property inspection.

The Costa del Sol region

Fuengirola is ideal for exploring the historic cities of Andalucia. Cordoba, Sevilla, Cadiz, Malaga and Granada and could all make unforgettable day trips. Gibraltar, a mere hour away with its magnificent caves and tunnels, not to mention the Barbary apes.

The famed village of Mijas is 10 minutes drive inland with its breathtaking panoramic views, donkey taxis, museum, bull ring etc
.
The beautiful lakes of 'El Chorro' are just 1hour 30 minutes inland.

Along the motorway you will find Selwo wildlife park, Tivoli theme park, Sealife, Cable cars, museums, open top bus tours, botanical gardens and so many other attractions and things to do it is impossible to list them all here. A newly opened Butterfly park has just been inaugurated in March 2011.

Day excursions can be booked at the nearest travel agent for Ronda, Gibraltar, Nerja, Sierra Nevada etc. Why not cross the continent and go to Africa. Morrocco is just across the straits, ferries leaving from Algeciras. A long day out but well worth the visit if you can manage it. Madrid is now only 2 hours and 30 minutes by high speed train. Seville and Cordoba aproximately 1 hour, also by high speed train

The climate here makes it a great place to come all year round, with low rainfall and many hours of sunshine.
Being right on the coast makes the hot summers slightly cooler and the winters milder than inland Andalucia.

The Fuengirola / Myramar area

Fuengirola is fortunate to enjoy 8 km of wide uninterrupted award winning sandy beaches with all amenities, beach bars, water sports, sunbeds and umbrellas etc. There is a lively fishing port where the pleasure boats dock and excursions can be booked.

The award winning zoo is open until about midnight in high summer. It's quite small but very beautiful and you can see how well they care for the animals. It's a favourite among all age groups.

The castle is 5 minutes along the promenade and serves as the venue for concerts, medieval market, beer festival etc during the summer months. Well worth going to if anythings going on there at the time of your visit.

Just a 4 minute walk away is the new riverside park 'Parque Fluvial' which opened a short while ago. The first phase was inaugurated in October 2011 and enjoys lovely views, basketball court, outdoor tabble tennis, play areas for young children and ofcourse pleasant walkways to take a stroll. The hiring of small rowing boats will be possible in the future. More installations will be added when the second phase has been completed.

Just over the road from the apartment is a small Sunday market. It's very small but enjoyable all the same. Approximately 25 minutes walk away is the famous Tuesday market where many bargains can be found. There is a bus that will take you there. It's the biggest street market in Spain and sells just about everything you could imagine.

A mini train runs throughout the year all around the town, taking you through streets you may not have discovered otherwise. Horses and carriages with driver can be hired. A very pleasant way to see around the town.

There are 3 golf courses within 10 minutes drive but many many more just a little further. For this reason, Fuengirola is also very appealing to golfing parties.

The mijas hipodrome is also about 10 minutes drive where horse races take place on summer nights. There are restaurants and beer stalls there to provide refreshments while watching the races.

There are too many local festivals to mention. The most important one to the townspeople being the October fair where processions, horse shows, running of the bulls, contests and concerts can be enjoyed, as well as a large fun fair. You'll find a party atmosphere here all week.

In May 'Feria de los pueblos' is held. Countries from all over the world promote their culture,gastronomy etc, celebrating with dancing, processions, concerts etc.

At the 'Palacio de la paz' many events are held at weekends. Mostly dancing and singing performances. The townhall which is just 10 minutes walk away has up to date info on these events.

Fun for all the family can be found at Aquapark, just 12 minutes walk away. Discount tickets can usually be provided by us.

Though good nightlife is just a walk away, it's not so near that it could be disturbing. For restaurants and bars you are spoilt for choice, the nearest one being less than 100 metres away. You'll find that eating out in this part of Spain is quite economical and is the favourite past time of the Spanish. Most places do take away meals, and tapas bars are to be found everywhere if it's just a snack you'd like.

Ryanair, Easyjet and Aerlingus are all economic airlines flying to Malaga on a very regular basis. Other airlines such as Monarch, British airways etc also have flights from many european cities and if booked well in advance, many bargains can be found.

We advise skyscanner.com for competitive fares with many well known companies from all cities.

There are many car hire companies to choose from the airport or in town. Most of these companies have web pages where you can enquire on costs.

Trains run every 30 minutes from Malaga airport to Fuengirola from early morning to late night.

Taxis are always available at the airport, prices will vary depending on luggage.

There are minibus companies that MUST be booked on line. They're very reliable and economical. This is usually a good option for parties of more than 4 people. More information given on booking.

“A great time in Fuengirola” The apartment was ideal for 7 old friends having an annual reunion. It is in excellent condition and everything is clean and well maintained. Situated on the third floor, it was ideal for chilling out. Most of us used the stairs, but the least fit used the lift. The location has all amenities within easy walking distance and the main town is easily reached. The distance from the beach mentioned in the advert is accurate. “We will be back” Just back from spending ten days with my family. We were looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun and that's what we got. The apartment was really lovely, spotless and very well equipped. The location was excellent just a few minutes walk to the beach, bars, shops and restaurants. Jane the owner of the apartment was extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. She was there to greet us on arrival and went through everything in detail as well as leaving us a welcome hamper of wine, beer, tea, coffee, crisps and biscuits. Getting to the apartment was quick and cheap. We got the train from the airport which cost us €2.50 each and a taxi from the station cost us €5.50 per taxi. “Exceeded expectations” We travelled as a family of six with children 16, 11, 10 and 10. I spent hours looking for accommodation that would meet our needs: walking distance to the beach, pool, supermarket, close to train station (we didn't want to hire a car), 4 beds and Wi-fi, ohh and a water park close by if possible. I didn't expect to tick all our boxes and thought we would need to compromise somewhere. However, I found the Myramar. Jane met us at the apartment (just a 15 minute walk with cases from the station). She gave us a lovely welcome, we bombarded her with questions, all of which she answered. The community pool was set in lovely grounds and was never over-crowded, in fact sometimes we had it to ourselves in mid-August. The beach was one block away and our boys enjoyed early mornings and late nights playing football and volleyball. Jane's handy shopping trolley made the supermarket run easy (even for ice cream!). We had Wi-fi, particularly important for teenagers and the 4 bedrooms give plenty of space for everyone. The waterpark was a hit and only took us about 10 minutes to walk there. So, all our boxes ticked and no compromise - thanks Jane. I asked the kids to rate it, their verdict was 11 out of 10. Me, I was able to relax in the sun for two weeks, perfect. “Great place, everything within walking distance, great landlord” This appartment gave us, the best stay, we could ask for, this summer. Our family, 2 adults, 2 children, haven`t been to Spain before, but we had the greatest time, and cannot wait to go back. The appartment is elderly, and VERY charming, and contained ererything we could ask for; ex. toys to the beach, washingmashine, tv, fans to keep the place cool. Every room was very charming, and had all the things we needed. The flat was placed 10minutes away from city center, wich was great. Shopping, was very easy, and very close to the stay,- couldn`t be better. Pool and beach, was great. To find beach chairs to take to both places did the beach visit even better. Our landlord was available at all times, if nessecary- but evrything was so taken care of, that it wasn`t nedded.The info we had about the accomodation, before we went, and to find in the flat was beyond comparing. The Accomodation had so many possibilities, that we did not use them all. In the appartment was folders that contained informations about almost everything, and coupons to almost everything we wanted to visit. This has been our best vacation ever. Everything within walking distance, and close to all cities of Andaluià. To be sure, we had a car for both weeks, but next time we won`t arrange that, since whatever we want is so close. “Excellent value 4 bedroom property, close to the beach, town centre and golf courses.” This is one of the few 4 bedroom rental properties in the immediate area taht we could find. It is in a perfect location and has it's own private parking. The apartment is on the 3rd floor and is served by a lift which will take 2 people and 4 golf bags, perfect for us and the two fitter guys used to enjoy the walk up the stairs. It is within 2 mins of the dual carraigeway coast road and 5 minutes from the motorway so was perfect for reaching all the golf courses on our itinerary. We played Alcaidesa down near Gibralta on one day and that only took us an hour to drive to. We liked the restaurants near to the marina on a street we knew as "Fish Alley" although buying beers there was Extortionate 4.4 euros for a large one. The same beers in the small bars on the front were costing under 2 euros which was more than acceptable. The location is ideal for all the courses we played as we left the apartment and bought breakfast at Snak Attack on the way. (about 7 minutes from the apartment on the coast road). Our only slight concern was the lack of Aircon which if it had been much warmer could have been an issue, however we slept with all windows slightly open to ensure a through draft of air. All in all an excellent value property for our holiday which was a golfing break Response: Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. I am sure the golf information will be very useful to future golfing guests. There are certainly a very wide choice of courses, over 30 on the Costa. I am glad you found my apartment to be excellent value and thank you for the extra comments on your stay. The small details are a great help to future renters. With regards to air con- my apartment is advertised as having ventilating fans - not air conditioning. In the extra information sheet I forward to people after their initial enquiry, it also states this fact. For those who prefer air con, this holiday site has a very comprehensive way of finding properties that do offer this facility. In the information folder, kept at the apartment, you will find very useful and effective information on how to keep the apartment cool using the awning and blinds in each room. The apartment benefits from the cool sea breezes but of course to take advantage of this, the windows must be kept open. “Everything you need for a great holiday” We travelled as two families, 4 adults and 4 children between 4 and 10. The apartment itself is lovely, and the photos are very accurate. You could tell that it had been a home as well as a rental, and I could certainly see myself living there. It was very clean and spacious. For so many of us it could have been a disaster sharing but it was laid out so well that we never felt on top of each other. All the rooms are big and there really are enough seats/dining etc for 8 - sometimes you can go where there are loads of beds but you'd never all get sat down, not the case here. Two bathrooms are a godsend! The kitchen was well equipped and it was really handy having the separate laundry room with lots of useful toys/parasols/beach stuff etc. The balcony is big enough to have a full load out without cramping the sitting area - I know this isn't exciting but I am a mum! The pool wasn't open when we were there but the beach is only 2 minutes away, we didn't miss it. This part of Fuengirola is at the end of the resort so it was probably a bit quieter than the main drag, but there were plenty of bars and restaurants and shops to keep us going. It's about 15 minutes to the main resort. Also you can walk to the water park in 10 minutes which was brilliant, we went twice and it was good value for money. However for us the park right next to the apartment made the holiday. It has a bar and does food, and has a brilliant covered climbing frame which kept the kids entertained for hours. The staff were so friendly, we went there every night for an hour or so to wear the kids out before going on for food elsewhere. Apart from the apartment, what impressed me was the information given out by Jane prior to our arrival and when we got there. Every detail is covered and you do feel that you can call her if needed. I have rented through Owner's Direct before and it really made a difference. We all agreed that what made our holiday so good was feeling so comfortable in the apartment. “A spacious apartment in an excellent location, close to local amenities and great value for money.” With Seven adults and a baby going on holiday, we needed an apartment which was spacious and close to the local amenities. Having returned from a 1 week holiday from staying at the apartment, we can confidently say that the apartment is very spacious, well equipped and in an excellent location. With four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a huge sitting room and a lovely kitchen, we had no problem living there for the week. The apartment also benefits from a balcony, which overlooks the beach, which is approximately 100m away, and it very nice relaxing there watching the world go by! On arrival, we were greeted by the owner, Jane, who provided a tour of the apartment and gave us some information on the local area. There was a welcome pack, which consist of some snacks and drinks, which was very handy as we arrived late at the apartment. The location of the apartment is excellent. It is literary a few minutes walk to the beach. There is a play area for children and the town centre is about 10 minutes walk, which again is very useful as there is no need to use a taxi or even hire a car. There are also some excellent restaurants nearby. On the day of departure, Jane saw us off. We were provided with great hospitality by Jane and overall the apartment is great value for money, and would definitely consider renting it again. “Well appointed, well located property” Had a very enjoyable stay with a friend at this apartment recently. Prior to arrival I found Jane (the owner) to be incredibly communicative and helpful. On arrival she met up with us and answered all our queries. The apartment was perfect for our needs. Well equipped and the location for us was ideal. “Excellent modern apartment in the perfect location” I have just returned from a week's golfing holiday in Fuengirola with 4 friends to celebrate my 30th birthday. This apartment was absolutely perfect for us. It is located in the centre of Fuengirola and is also right beside the dual carraigeway which can either take you north to Malaga or, in our case, south to La Cala Golf in La Cala de Mijas, which is only 15 min drive away. We played on 3 spectacular golf courses here and there are dozens of others all within easy driving distance so I would highly recommend for any party of golfers. The apartment is within 5 mins walking distance to the main hub of Fuengirola where there are numerous restaurants and bars to cater for all tastes, even at this time of the year, and the 8km stretch of beach is only a couple of hundred yards away. The apartment itself is very modern with 4 large bedrooms and 2 separate bathrooms, meaning there was more than enough space for the 5 of us. Jane couldn't have been more helpful to us, giving us great directions to get there, leaving us an unexpected welcome hamper and is available any time you need her. There was also secure parking to the rear of the apartment as well, which came in handy as we had rented a minibus for the week. “Spacious,Clean,Extremely Well Equipped,Ideal Location,” we returned today having stayed in this apartment in fuenerola for 10 days ,a family of six,me ,my boyfriend,our two children ages 6 and 14 ,his sister and my mum (so all ages) .the apartment is on 3rd floor with intercom acccess as added security too,small lift and stairs to all levels.there is a fridge/freezer,tons of crockery,glasses etc ,stereo,2 showers and 2 loo's ( all helpful with a large family),there is no air con, however fans in all rooms.beach chairs,inflateables,buggy etc are all there for use too,lovely bakers downstairs for fresh bread and croissants .jane is extremely good and leaves welcome hamper,two sets of door keys and an informative info pack with all you need to know and is available for any problem.great water park is ten minute walk at pace( obviously longer if strolling).we had a fab time,only one thing to bare in mind is that the apartment's swimming pool is not "on site",you take tickets (provided by jane) a block down the street to a pool shared by arrangement with other appartments,which opens at 11am, ball,s,inflatables,alcohol or food are not allowed and therfore has no lounger or bar,so kinda swayed us to the beach most days(personal preference though).excellent value for money,home from home,very nice holiday . I'm happy to know that you found the location very convenient and the apartment was suitable for all the family. It's always a pleasure to know that people go back feeling that their holiday was good value for money. The swimming pools belong to all the apartments in Myramar complex and all the owners are given passes to prevent 'outsiders' using the amenities that we part-own and pay to maintain. My apartment doesn't overlook the pool area which may seem disappointing, the advantage is that we hear no noise in summer- a common complaint by those who stay in the apartments by the pool. Being privately owned apartments on a residential complex, a bar is not permitted in the pool area - as it would be in a hotel or apart/hotel. Relax chairs are provided at the apartment for use at the pool as there are no sun beds available. Unfortunately rules at the pool have to be strict, especially with regards to alcohol as drinking by the pool could be very dangerous and cause problems to fellow bathers. “Lovely flat, great location for beach and shops” We had a lovely stay at this apartment. The only thing I would say is that it is some distance from the centre where the best restaurants are and the train station. Very near beach and good shops, there is a shopping centre 10 minutes walk away and a supermarket 5 minutes away. Response: Thank you for your feedback.
