Situated in an unbeatable location. 100 metres from the beach. I have measured the distance for accuracy, in what's considered by the locals to be part of the centre of town. Definitely suitable and has proven to be very popular with all age groups due to the central location.

No need to run out to the shops straight away. Very handy when travelling with young children (though the supermarket is a 4 minute walk) and a great start to your holiday.
Up to date tourist information about places to visit, public transport, amenities and activities etc is also provided at the apartment. Its on the 3rd floor of a six storey building with lift and stair access.
The front of the property is orientated towards the beach and overlooks the new park and a children's playground. The back overlooks the tennis courts. Myramar is a large complex made up of 2 streets. The swimming pool is situated around the corner from the apartment. We don't overlook the pool area which is quite a godsend because it means we don't suffer from the noise when it's open and it's more peaceful. You'll find that you're not overlooked by any high rise buildings immediately in front or behind the block. It has easy access to all amenities, so a car is unnecessary to get around the town.
The terrain of this side of Fuengirola is completely flat, making it a comfortable place for people with restricted mobility, families with small children or simply for those who don't enjoy climbing hills to get back home.

There are table tennis tables and basketball courts at the riverside park that can be used free of charge. Table tennis bats and balls and a basketball is provided at the apartment for you to use.
The terrace has dining furniture and an awning to shade you from the strong summer sun that enters the front of the apartment in the morning. The afternoon or evening sun, depending on the season of year,shines on the rear of the apartment. Quality linen and bath towels are provided. Beach towels are available for the fee 2 euros each, allowing you to travel a little lighter.
There are king size beds in two of the bedrooms, in the 3rd, 2 single beds and in the 4th, 2 single beds. All bedrooms have wardrobes and the 2 bedrooms to the rear have child proof locks on windows. The two double bedrooms have direct access to the terrace.
One bathroom has a fullsize bath and a wall shower, the other has a 1/2 size bath with shower. There is a first aid cabinet and a hair dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons and ample cooking utensils , crockery and electrical appliances etc
The sitting room is very spacious with a dining area. It has a large television, music system and Dvd. It has direct access to the terrace. You'll find fans in ALLl the rooms for the summer months and mica thermal emitters in EVERY room for the cooler winter season.
This is most important as the evenings in winter can be very cold if the property isn't heated properly. There is a security intercom for access to building.
There is on street free parking to the front of the apartment block and private parking, exclusive to residents of the urbanization to the rear. If you have rented a car, you will be given the remote control to use to gain access to parking area.
Please note that there is wheelchair access but the apartment is NOT wheelchair adapted. Please enquire on suitability if any of your group has special needs or is wheel chair dependant

Myramar is a very popular complex due to the facilities provided and ofcourse it's proximity to the town centre and beach. It benefits from 2 swimming pools, one large one and a smaller, shallow one for non swimmers, children and those with limited mobility. There is a lifeguard on duty at all times. This is open from the middle of June to the middle of September. Parasols are available in the gardens and you'll find toilet and changing facilities. There are light weight beach chairs and a couple of parasols that can be taken down to the pool or beach.
This community has very well maintained gardens and there's a tennis court on site. Rackets and balls are provided free of charge.
Over the road you'll see a new park, with bicycle lanes, gardens, children's play area, exercise machines and skating area. An open air bar has recently opened, so you can watch the children while having a drink. There are also plenty of benches around the play areas.
The comfortable terrace has an awning to keep off the heat of the sun in high summer. No barbecue is available as the community prohibits it for safety reasons.
The centre of town is a ten minute walk, or, 15 minute stroll along the promenade. The beach is just 2 minutes walk away. The nearest beach to the apartment is called Playa Santa Amalia and has been awarded with the blue flag from the European Union. This award has been given to all the beaches in Fuengirola this year, ensuring safety and cleanliness of the waters.
Local bus stops are just 2 minutes walk away. In the complex you'll find a bakery, newsagent, DVD club, phone booths, a convenience store and 4 bars and restaurants. No further than 5 minutes walk away you'll find the Eroski shopping mall, bank, supermarket and pharmacy. Italian, Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Basque and local cuisine are all found within 6 mins walk as well as may cafeterias, snack bars etc.
Regional bus stops, minigolf, waterpark, zoo are all within 12 mins walk.
You can walk everywhere as most attractions and forms of entertainment are situated in West central Fuengirola, where this apartment block is located. You can see this on google maps.
If extra shopping is required, the guests are invited to send a shopping list via email, 48 hours before commencing their holiday and will be charged accordingly on arrival. There is a service charge for this.

The Costa del Sol region
Fuengirola is ideal for exploring the historic cities of Andalucia. Cordoba, Sevilla, Cadiz, Malaga and Granada and could all make unforgettable day trips. Gibraltar, a mere hour away with its magnificent caves and tunnels, not to mention the Barbary apes.
The famed village of Mijas is 10 minutes drive inland with its breathtaking panoramic views, donkey taxis, museum, bull ring etc
The beautiful lakes of 'El Chorro' are just 1hour 30 minutes inland.
Along the motorway you will find Selwo wildlife park, Tivoli theme park, Sealife, Cable cars, museums, open top bus tours, botanical gardens and so many other attractions and things to do it is impossible to list them all here. A newly opened Butterfly park has just been inaugurated in March 2011.
Day excursions can be booked at the nearest travel agent for Ronda, Gibraltar, Nerja, Sierra Nevada etc. Why not cross the continent and go to Africa. Morrocco is just across the straits, ferries leaving from Algeciras. A long day out but well worth the visit if you can manage it. Madrid is now only 2 hours and 30 minutes by high speed train. Seville and Cordoba aproximately 1 hour, also by high speed train

The climate here makes it a great place to come all year round, with low rainfall and many hours of sunshine.
Being right on the coast makes the hot summers slightly cooler and the winters milder than inland Andalucia.
The Fuengirola / Myramar area
Fuengirola is fortunate to enjoy 8 km of wide uninterrupted award winning sandy beaches with all amenities, beach bars, water sports, sunbeds and umbrellas etc. There is a lively fishing port where the pleasure boats dock and excursions can be booked.
The award winning zoo is open until about midnight in high summer. It's quite small but very beautiful and you can see how well they care for the animals. It's a favourite among all age groups.
The castle is 5 minutes along the promenade and serves as the venue for concerts, medieval market, beer festival etc during the summer months. Well worth going to if anythings going on there at the time of your visit.
Just a 4 minute walk away is the new riverside park 'Parque Fluvial' which opened a short while ago. The first phase was inaugurated in October 2011 and enjoys lovely views, basketball court, outdoor tabble tennis, play areas for young children and ofcourse pleasant walkways to take a stroll. The hiring of small rowing boats will be possible in the future. More installations will be added when the second phase has been completed.
Just over the road from the apartment is a small Sunday market. It's very small but enjoyable all the same. Approximately 25 minutes walk away is the famous Tuesday market where many bargains can be found. There is a bus that will take you there. It's the biggest street market in Spain and sells just about everything you could imagine.
A mini train runs throughout the year all around the town, taking you through streets you may not have discovered otherwise. Horses and carriages with driver can be hired. A very pleasant way to see around the town.
There are 3 golf courses within 10 minutes drive but many many more just a little further. For this reason, Fuengirola is also very appealing to golfing parties.
The mijas hipodrome is also about 10 minutes drive where horse races take place on summer nights. There are restaurants and beer stalls there to provide refreshments while watching the races.
There are too many local festivals to mention. The most important one to the townspeople being the October fair where processions, horse shows, running of the bulls, contests and concerts can be enjoyed, as well as a large fun fair. You'll find a party atmosphere here all week.
In May 'Feria de los pueblos' is held. Countries from all over the world promote their culture,gastronomy etc, celebrating with dancing, processions, concerts etc.
At the 'Palacio de la paz' many events are held at weekends. Mostly dancing and singing performances. The townhall which is just 10 minutes walk away has up to date info on these events.
Fun for all the family can be found at Aquapark, just 12 minutes walk away. Discount tickets can usually be provided by us.
Though good nightlife is just a walk away, it's not so near that it could be disturbing. For restaurants and bars you are spoilt for choice, the nearest one being less than 100 metres away. You'll find that eating out in this part of Spain is quite economical and is the favourite past time of the Spanish. Most places do take away meals, and tapas bars are to be found everywhere if it's just a snack you'd like.

Ryanair, Easyjet and Aerlingus are all economic airlines flying to Malaga on a very regular basis. Other airlines such as Monarch, British airways etc also have flights from many european cities and if booked well in advance, many bargains can be found.

There are many car hire companies to choose from the airport or in town. Most of these companies have web pages where you can enquire on costs.
Trains run every 30 minutes from Malaga airport to Fuengirola from early morning to late night.
Taxis are always available at the airport, prices will vary depending on luggage.
There are minibus companies that MUST be booked on line. They're very reliable and economical. This is usually a good option for parties of more than 4 people. More information given on booking.

The apartment was ideal for 7 old friends having an annual reunion. It is in excellent condition and everything is clean and well maintained. Situated on the third floor, it was ideal for chilling out. Most of us used the stairs, but the least fit used the lift. The location has all amenities within easy walking distance and the main town is easily reached. The distance from the beach mentioned in the advert is accurate. The welcome and information given by Jane was appreciated. This apartment has everything required for a pleasant stay in a wonderful location!

Just back from spending ten days with my family. We were looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun and that's what we got. The apartment was really lovely, spotless and very well equipped. The location was excellent just a few minutes walk to the beach, bars, shops and restaurants.
Jane the owner of the apartment was extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. She was there to greet us on arrival and went through everything in detail as well as leaving us a welcome hamper of wine, beer, tea, coffee, crisps and biscuits. Getting to the apartment was quick and cheap. We got the train from the airport which cost us €2.50 each and a taxi from the station cost us €5.50 per taxi. All in all we had a great holiday and we will be returning to the Myramar Fuengirola.

We travelled as a family of six with children 16, 11, 10 and 10. I spent hours looking for accommodation that would meet our needs: walking distance to the beach, pool, supermarket, close to train station (we didn't want to hire a car), 4 beds and Wi-fi, ohh and a water park close by if possible. I didn't expect to tick all our boxes and thought we would need to compromise somewhere. However, I found the Myramar. Jane met us at the apartment (just a 15 minute walk with cases from the station). She gave us a lovely welcome, we bombarded her with questions, all of which she answered. The community pool was set in lovely grounds and was never over-crowded, in fact sometimes we had it to ourselves in mid-August. The beach was one block away and our boys enjoyed early mornings and late nights playing football and volleyball. Jane's handy shopping trolley made the supermarket run easy (even for ice cream!). We had Wi-fi, particularly important for teenagers and the 4 bedrooms give plenty of space for everyone. The waterpark was a hit and only took us about 10 minutes to walk there. So, all our boxes ticked and no compromise - thanks Jane. I asked the kids to rate it, their verdict was 11 out of 10. Me, I was able to relax in the sun for two weeks, perfect.
