If you want to explore further afield then historical cities of Granada and Seville are only two hours away. Car hire is available within a 1 minute walk of the apartment. Alternatively, scheduled coach tours will pick up and drop off locally.

Pool is open from 16 May to the end of September with a full time lifeguard in attendance. There's a small charge to use the pool. Tickets can be purchased daily or weekly. Another pool in a nearby complex can be used during the months this one is closed.
Conditions
Preferred arrival time is 2pm and departure is 11am. However, changeover day and these times are flexible.
The Costa del Sol region
An ideal location for families from which to enjoy all the Costa del Sol has to offer. Nearby attractions include the Mijas Costa Aquapark, Tivoli World amusement park, Selwo Marina with dolphin show, Selwo Safari Adventure, Fuengirola Zoo, Torremolinos Crocodile Park, Malaga Indoor Go-Karting Circuit and Quad Bike adventures.
Golfers can take their pick from dozens of courses on the Costa del Sol and inland. There are around 10 courses all within a 10 minute drive of the apartment.
The Fuengirola / El Faro area
Fuengirola is situated between Malaga and Marbella, close to the tourist town of Benalmadena and the beautiful white village of Mijas.
The town has everything you'd expect from a tourist centre. There are restaurants, bars and leisure facilities. The seafront promenade runs for around 5 kilometres along which you'll find a wonderful selection of 'Chiringuitos' (beach reastaurants).
El Faro is a quiet are situated a couple of minutes drive from the centre of Fuengirola. It offers a relaxing location away from the bustle of the town.

We found this property suited all of our needs. The owner was extremely helpful upon our arrival and departure. There were 5 adults and 2 children staying in the apartment and we found it very spacious and comfortable. The chilldren loved being able to go in the pool every day. The local area was very attractive and restaurants, shop and beach were all within walking distance. Buses ran to Fuengirola and Marbella regularly so there was plenty of choice to visit different areas. Will definately be booking up again in the near future. The property was great but without air-con it was unbearable at night even after being provided with extra fans, by the owner promptly. The mattresses in all rooms were uncomfortable and could be doing with being replaced, which led to sleepless nights, on top of the heat The local amenities were adequate and as described, we particularly liked the Dona Maria restaurant and the quiz night at Bar Carlton. Unfortunately this can get monotonous over a week as there is very little choice unless you travel to Fuengirola. The bus service does run frequently but stops running at 11pm, and taxis only cater for 4 persons which we also found a problem. All in all a nice apartment with a great pool which the children enjoyed immensely and the owner is very quick at responding to any problems. Response: Thanks for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and that the children loved the pool. It's clearly stated that there's no aircon in the apartment and electric fans are provided instead. If you choose to holiday in July and August in Southern Spain then temperature will be very high. Fans are provided at no extra cost. The Doña Maria and Carlton bars are just around the corner. As mentioned in the information and literature within the apartment the nearby Playa Marina area has a variety of bars, restaurants and entertainment all within walking distance. The reason so many people choose to holiday in our apartment is that it's not in the centre of town but is still close enough to reach if you wish to visit. Bus times and limits on taxi passengers are out of our control. Nobody has ever mentioned the mattresses before. On the contrary many guests find the apartment relaxing with all the comforts of home. |
