About the home
The apartment has breathtaking sea views of the Mediterranean from the large terrace and just to the side of the apartment is one of the communal swimming pools but if you prefer the feel of sand between your toes the beach is only a short walk away.
The apartment is furnished to a very high standard as it is also used by myself so I did get a little carried away and spent too much, however I am sure you will agree the result was worth it.
Transport links could not be better with the local tran station only 800 meters away and easy access to the main coast road.
The apartment also has the latest air conditioning system and satelite television which can be viewed on a 37" LCD TV plus WiFI internet all included so you can keep in touch with family and friends!

The Costa del Sol region
Only just over 2 hours flying time from the UK to Southern Spain the apartment is in the provience of Costa del Sol which enjoys Mediterranean weather, with warm temperatures.
The daily temperatures vary from 25 to 30 degrees centigrade.
The average temperature is around 18 degrees centigrade during the whole year. Even in winter, it does not fall under 14 during the day. The rainfall is moderate, a fact which always guarantee a pleasant holiday.
The Costa del Sol has three hundred sunny days per year. This good weather is favored by the constant sea breezes and the protective mountains situated next to the seaside
The Fuengirola / Carvajal area
Benalmadena and Fuengirola are only a couple of stops away on the train or for a day trip why not explore Marbella, Puerto Banus, Gibraltar, Seville, Granada or Malaga.
There are also many activities, theme parks, water parks, places of historic interest, exploring the white villages and the mountains and lakes further inland not forgetting the miles of sandy beach.
For the evening you are spoilt for choice of where to eat and drink and if you fancy a Meal Show and Casino experiance check out Hotel Torrequebrada which is only a short taxi ride fom the apartment.

Fly to MALAGA airport Spain, you can depart from many regional UK airports with low cost airlines, flying time from the UK is just over 2 hours with return flights costing less than £100.00 per person if you book early!
From Malaga airport the apartment is only 11 miles (18km) west, this should take approximatley 20 - 25 minutes using two main roads which makes it EASY to find.
You can use CAR HIRE - TAXI - AIRPORT TRANSFER or TRAIN and i can provide clear directions with maps as well as information on reliable Car Hire and Airport Transfer companies as well as train times and the amount you should expect to pay.
On arrival at the apartment you will be met by Graham and Elaine who looks after the apartment and who will give you the keys and show you around, they live in the block behind and a very helpful! there aim is like mine to make your holiday/stay a pleasurable one! ( I pay for this service).

The apartment is absolutely fabulous, clean, tidy, everything I wanted & more. Fab sea views from the huge balcony. The train station is just down the hill and the travel is so cheap, there is no need for a car. We did our shopping in Mercadonna Los boliches by train no problem. I am definitely going to return to this apt. and would recommend to my friends and family. |

Having arrived late in Don Juan , it was a relief when Graham and his partner met us at the train station in Carvajal. The hill to the apartment is steep so they gave us a lift to the apartment. The facilities are super and the area is quiet at nighe except for young Spanish children playing football sometimes. The older children went clubbing and they were safe using the local taxis. We loved Moochers in Fish alley and I would like to go to Los Faroles again. There are lovely restaurants on the beach and other resorts are just a train journey away. I hope to go back again. |

We had an excellent 2 week stay in this apartment with our 6 yr old son. The apartment is a good size with the added bonus of the balconey from which there are fabulous sea views . There is a very comfortable living area , well equipped kitchen , well fitted bathroom and comfortable bedroom , all rooms were clean and well maintained . We were met at the train station by Graham and brought up to the apartment where a welcome pack of water , bread , butter , milk and wine were left for us . There are 3 pools on site 2 of which were available to us and we used the pool every day , there was easy access to the pool through the garage . The areas around the pool are well kept . Another bonus of this apartment is the train stop at the Carvajal station which means you can travel by train from the airport for a few euros . We took the train into Fuengirola almost daily and also visited Tivoli world and Plaza Mayor by train . We would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a relaxing break in a well kept apartment with lovely sea views .We will most definetley return to this apartment next year . |

The apartment was even better than the information you supplied to us. Its position, overlooking the sea, was fantastic. Absolutely fabulous views up and down the coast, both from inside the apartment and out on the terrace. The quality of fittings were excellent and made it a pleasure to come back each day. More like a real home than a holiday apartment. It lacks for nothing! The convenience of the coastal railway line was also a great asset for getting to other resorts and cities (and the fares were inexpensive). Because the promenade starts at Carvajal and goes through to Fuengirolla we spent a lot of our time walking and stopping along the way at pleasant cafes for a drink and a snack. The four weeks spent at the apartment were really enjoyable and flew over all too quickly.
We would recommend your apartment to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable break, without any fear of them not being completely satisfied. We certainly will be returning, hopefully in the not too distant future.

We stayed at the Don Juan Apartments in May 2010. On arrival we discovered a great spacious one bedroom apartment which has had no expense spared to make it a real home from home. Only a few years old, the apartment is at the front of the development with great unrestricted sea views and although the hill took some level of fitness to overcome the views were worth it. If arriving by train from the airport take up any offer to have a lift from the station [Carvajal] with your luggage to the apartment. The location is ideal with the train station so close, only seven minutes into Fuengirola for just over a euro. You soon get to understand the ticket machine and the trains are modern, air conditioned and on time twice every hour. On several occasions we did get a taxi back in the late evening after a few glasses of wine and some great tapas. Well, we were on holiday! Many other places to visit by train without the worry of a drink or two whilst driving. Malaga town is interesting and the open top bus tour well worth the money.
We hope that those visiting Neil’s Don Juan Apartment have a great time like we did. Lots of information on hand in the apartment whilst outside sun, sea, good food and good wine. What more could you wish for. Great welcome pack.

The 4 of us have just returned from a relaxing stay in your apt. The apt & complex is, as described, well maintained & well appointed; although we had a couple of problems early on with the boiler, you were readily contactable and resolved without delay. Further, when we were caught out by the volcanic ash saga, you kindly offered additional stay at no extra cost - great customer service! The train network is superb and the apt is within a ½km of the Carvajal train station which is only 5-10 mins to Benalmadena or Fuengirola - & just €1.90 return!! The only downside for us is the 200m walk up the hill from the train station to the apt - with two young kiddies it was a bit of a struggle particularly after a long day but its a small negative overall, as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Just thought I'd drop you a line to say what a nice time we all had in Spain (August 2009) and that we thoroughly enjoyed staying in your lovely flat.
I would recommend it to anyone else.
We were also very pleasantly surprised with the flat and we felt that perhaps, if anything, your photos didn't quite do it justice. It was much larger than we thought it would be. The marble flooring, the furniture and decor etc are all first class.
The views from the huge balcony are breathtaking and uninterrupted and the beach really is about 7 minutes walk away.
Anyway, thank you for everything and I'm sure we'll be staying in your place again sometime..

We decided to take the train to Neil’s apartment as it saved us over 60 Euros return, I was a bit apprehensive but needn’t have worried, it was a short walk, to the station from the airport – no problem with the suitcases as they had wheels. The automated ticket machine had a button on the bottom left of the screen which changed all the options to English and buying tickets was easy, a tip is to buy return tickets as it saves even more money.
We arrived at CARVJAL TRAIN station to be met by Sandra’s friend and taken to the apartment by car, it is only a few hundred yards but is up quite a steep hill so we were thankful of the lift, we could have walked with the cases but it would have been difficult, we were shown round the apartment and given the keys.
The apartment was superb, a lovely sea view and large balcony, good quality furniture throughout with a VERY comfortable bed which we had zipped together as a 6 footer, it was brilliant and combined with the air con, although we had to leave the bedroom door open to get the benefit, we had some very good night sleeps, unusual for me when we are away. With the shutters down it kept the room dark. The lounge was lovely with a very comfortable L shaped couch which we had a few nice evenings on watching films on the excellent Samsung flat screen TV, we brought a few DVDs with us although there were some old film channels etc on the sky channels.
Carvajal has a very nice beach and a lovely promenade where we walked right down to fuengirola a few times, its only a five or ten minute walk from the apartment, there is a small (expensive) supermarket in carvajal and a few restaurants but we mostly got the train to Los Boliches (2 stops) or fuengirola (4 stops) the fairs were only 2.70 Euros return and we did a big food shop once and got a taxi back from fuengirola for 10 Euros. The train is a godsend if car hire is not wanted and we travelled on it most days even meeting my sister one day in Malaga Town and a mate in torromalinos another.
We used the pool at the back of the apartment block as the one next to the apartment isn’t in use yet, it was no problem walking through the garage down to the pool (a choice of 2 actually) and we found it a good place to spend the afternoons if we weren’t out and about as the balcony lost most of the sun by lunchtime. We sunbathed on the large balcony some mornings and the train noise was barely noticeable.
I would say we came for, and had a quiet relaxing holiday but if someone was looking for more nightlife fuengirola or torromalinos is a short train ride away with taxis not too expensive for an early hours return.
We used the kitchen to eat in a few times and there was everything we needed there with plenty of salt, sugar, tea bags etc already there, there was a lovely welcome pack of beer, milk, wine, water etc in the fridge when we arrived.

We had a wonderful time and the apartment was above expectation, it was a perfect location for the beach and getting about was easy, even though we had a hire car it was not a must as the local train service was fantastic with 2 trains per hour in both directions, into Fuengirola only took just over 5 minutes and was less than €2 return, the station is only about 800 yards from the apartment.
The apartment is furnished to a much higher standard than other rental apartments we have stayed in and the 37" TV was great to keep up with our English TV programmes, that was when we were not sitting on the balcony watching the sunset with a glass or two!
we will be using Neil’s apartment again and would not hesitate in recommending it to our friends.
