Home description

Wonderful Mediterranean sea views from sunny west facing balcony our Ronda 3 apartment. The balcony is private and furnished with comfy recliners from which to soak up the sun. A real sun trap all afternoon til sunset.

The Ronda 3 apartment is popular all year round due to it's sunny balcony and beachfront location on the lovely Los Boliches beach as well as the large swimming pool and gardens.

The lounge is well furnished with sliding double glazed patio doors to the balcony. The kitchen is fully fitted with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The bedroom has twin beds or super king, fitted wardrobes and patio doors to the balcony. Fitted bathroom, full bath with shower, wash basin and toilet. There is also a washing machine.

This is a great property for those wanting a relaxing beach holiday. The apartment ideally suits a couple (twin beds or super-king-sized bed) or family with children utilising the sofa bed in the lounge. Travel cot with comfy mattress available at no extra cost.

There are plenty of good, reasonably priced restaurant all along the PASEO MARITIMO and many trendy bars offering live entertainment in the evening. The Los Boliches beach has again been award the European Blue flag for cleanliness for 2010.

The Costa del Sol region

Costa del Sol's mild climate, clean beaches and friendly atmosphere, makes it a top turist destination, it's hot in summer, warm in winter - in fact perfect to visit any-time of the year. There are plenty of water sport, restaurants, shopping and attractions of offer.

Malaga is a fascinating place to visit and I would advise taking a day trip, there are some lovely sights. The Picasso Museum, Botanical Gardens and the Roman Theatre are all worth visiting. Take the train from Los Boliches station, a short walk from the apartment, direct to Malaga, passing the Airport on the way.

Mijas is a must visit too, facing the sea at an altitude of 425m, it is a picturesque mountain town, perfect to visit during the day or in the evening when you will have a wonderful view of Fuengirola. Easy to get there from the Bus station in Fuengirola.

Sierra Nevada mountain range is less than 2 hours away - why not ski in the morning and sun-bathe in the afternoon - it's possible from mid-December to end of March when the ski-resort is open.

For the more adventurous - there are many day trips on offer - Gibraltar only 1 hours drive away, duty free shopping or go sight-seeing, a great day out. Granada, Saville, Ronda or take the fast ferry to Tangiers, all just suggestions of the many things to do if you want a change from sun-bathing.


Fuengirola / Los Boliches area

Fuengirola is extremely family friendly and the Aqua Park is a great day out for all the family. Also the local Zoo - its well worth a visit, located just behind the new Town Hall in Fuengirola

The beautiful PASEO MARITIMO stretches from the Fuengirola Castle to Torreblanca and beyond to Carvajal. It is over 5 miles in length - great for walking, jogging or cycling. For the not quite so fit there are lots of benches and beach bars where you can stop and watch the world go by.

Fuengirola was originally a small fishing village which existisng well before the turism boom with its narrow street and lovely church. All the street around the seafront are full of many restaurants and bars.


How to get there

Fly from the UK - Monarch, Easyjet, Jet2 and many others. Once at Malaga airport why not take the TRAIN. The station at the airport which is approached along a moving walkway and the trains run every 30 minutes to Fuengirola - Los Boliches railway station is just a few minutes walk along the seafront. The journey takes 32 minutes and costs 2.15 Euros. (Children under 6 years travel on the train free). Alternatively, there are always plenty of taxis outside the airport , the fare is around 35 Euros and only about a 20 minute drive.

A car is not essential as the apartment is right on the seafront. However should you wish to hire a car there are many local companies who will deliver to the apartment and all the National companies are at the airport. There is plenty of parking on the seafront or directly behind the apartment, except in August when parking is difficult and I personally would not recommend having a car in Fuengirola in August. The Ronda 3 building does have it's own car park for the use of all guests, but on a first come first in basis.

Our one bedroom apartment is clean and spacious and fully equipped with absolutely everything you need for your self catering holiday.

The kitchen is modern and fully fitted with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge with large freezer compartment, kettle, toaster and there is a washing machine in the apartment.

The lounge is well furnished and benefits from Cable TV with over 30 channels including BBC1,2,CBBC, ITV, Channel 5, Sky News, Sky Sports 1 2 3, Premier Movies and many more. There is an armchair and very comfortable sofa which converts into a small double bed (suitable for children or one adult), as well as a dining table & 4 chairs.

The bedroom has twin beds (or super-king if preferred) and lots of wardrobe space, chest of drawers and chair. 100% cotton sheets and plenty fluffy white towels. Beach towels are also provided. The bathroom is fully fitted with bath/shower , washbasin and toilet.

On the balcony there is a table, parasol and 4 chairs (2 of which are recliners) with magnificent views of the mediterranean and surrounding area.

Further details outdoors:
The Ronda 3 complex has it's own large swimming pool and there are lovely well kept gardens for those who prefer to sunbathe off the beach. Paddle tennis courts are located behind the pool area together with a newly renovated Restaurant and indoor and outdoor bar area.

There is also a well-stocked supermarket within the complex. My Ronda 3 apartment is situated on Los Boliches beach, Fuengrola and it has again been awarded the European Blue Flag. The beach is wide and clean and very well lit at night - for that evening stroll.

There are many Spanish beach bars dotted along the beach where you can enjoy delicious seafood or sip a glass of sangria or beer. With 5 miles of promenade on your door step its ideal for your morning walk - why not walk towards Fuengirola Castle passing the Marina.

For INTERNET access there is a cafe offering wi-fi just along the seafront, so for the price of a coffee you can log-on and check your e-mails

No SMOKING allowed inside the apartment please.

Bed linen - 100% cotton sheets and throws in summer months and blankets or duvets in winter, bathroom towels and bathmats are all provided. Beach towels are also provided. There is a hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

Traval cot and linen available at no extra cost, but please let me know when booking if required.

English TV channels (BBC, ITV, Channel 4/5, Sky Premier movies and Sports etc etc) are available in the building and are provided by an outside Cable Company. This is subject to a charge of 22 Euros for 1 week or 28 Euros for 2 weeks and 32 Euros for 4 weeks - can be paid locally on arrival if required.

The apartment will be available from 2pm on arrival day and must be vacated by 11am on departure day, unless other arrangements have been agreed. Please note that for late arrivals at the apartment after 10.30pm there is an additional charge of 30€.


Conditions

PROVISIONAL BOOKINGS: a provisional booking may be made by telephone or e-mail, dates will be held for 7 days awaiting payment of the deposit, if the payment is not received within 7 days the property will become available again.

PAYMENT DETAILS: a deposit of 25% of the rental fee secures the booking (non-refundable) and can be paid by bank transfer/credit card to UK bank, full details are on the Rental Agreement. Euros payments can be made to Spanish bank account.

CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING will be sent by e-mail once the deposit is received. The balance is payable on arrival in cash or 21 days prior to arrival by bank transfer. Other payment methods can be arranged by prior agreement.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT - £50 (or equivalent in Euros) is payable on arrival and is refunded on departure day if property is left in good condition..

Remember to get your new EHIC card (replaces the old E111) available free on line at www.ehic.org.uk or at the Post Office . Appropriate Travel insurance is also advised.
