Home description
A luxurious 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment with uninteruted views of the mediterranean sea from the balcony and lounge. The lounge is well furnished with SatelliteTV (BBC & ITV etc ), DVD/CD players and selection of films for you to enjoy. Both bedrooms have plenty of fitted wardrobes and each has its own full bathroom (bath/shower, toilet ,bidet and hwb). Situated on the PASEO MARITIMO at Torreblanca, Fuengirola - the golden sandy Torreblanca beach has again been awarded the European Blue flag for cleanliness 2008 - you can see the flag on the beach from the balcony.
This is a great apartment to enjoy a relaxing beach front holiday and offers space and comfort with a large balcony.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Costa del Sol's mild climate, clean beaches and friendly atmosphere makes it a top turist destination, it's hot in summer, warm in winter - infact perfect to vistit any-time of the year. There are plenty of watersports, restaurants, shopping and attractions on offer.
Malaga is a fascinating place to visit and I would advise taking a day trip, there are some lovely sights. The Picasso Museum, Botanical gardens and the Roman Theatre are all worth visiting. Take the train from Torreblanca station just a short walk from the apartment direct to Malaga City ( passing the airport on the way).
Mijas is a must visit too, facing the sea at an altitude of 425m, it is a picturesque mountain town, perfect to visit during the day or in the evening when you will have a wonderful view of Fuengirola. Easy to get there from the main bus station in town.
The Sierra Nevada mountain range is less that 2 hours away, why not ski in the morning and sun-bathe on the beach in the afternoon - it's possible from mid-December to end of March when the ski-resort is open.
Fuengirola / Torreblanca area
Fuengirola is extremely family friendly and the long established Fuengirola Aqua Park, now in its 21 year, is a great day out for all the family. Don't forget the local Zoo, located just behind the new Town Hall - it is well worth a visit.
The beautiful promanade which stretches from the Castle to Torreblanca and beyond to Carvajal is over 5 miles of beach and harbour - great for walking, jogging and cycling. Fuengirola was one of the original towns along the coast which existed well before the tourism boom with its narrow streets and lovely church. All the streets around the seafront are full of bars and restaurants.
CRISTAL apartment is at the quieter end of the seafront but there are still many good restaurants and bars right on your doorstep. There is a newspaper shop, and a good bar in the apartment complex.
There is a supermarket, (open til late) chemist, post-office/newspaper shop and telephone kiosk (offering ADSL access and cheap international calls) within a few paces. Los Boliches has an excellent local produce market together with a larger one in Fuengirola. Tuesday is Market day and a popular place to go.
For the golfers' of the family - there are over 40 fabulous golf courses, the nearest being at Mijas. There is a full list in the apartment together with lots of other information you might find useful.
How to get there
There are many airlines that fly directly to Malaga airport. A great website to check on is flightmapping.com as it lists all the airlines flying into Malaga from your local airport.
Once at Malaga airport, why not reduce your carbon footprint and take the TRAIN . The station is just across a covered walkway in the airport and the fare is 1.35 Euros. From Torreblanca Station it is just a 4 minute walk (slightly downhill) to the seafront apartment, you can actually see the apartment building from the station. Alternatively there is always an abundance of Taxis waiting outside the airport, fare is around 35 Euros and only 20 minutes drive. The staff at the Tourist board office in the main arrivals hall are very helpful and happy to help with any arrangements or assistance you may require.
A car is not essential as the apartment is right on the seafront. However should you wish to hire a car there are many local companies who will deliver to the apartment and all the National companies are at the airport. There is plenty of parking on the seafront or directly behind the apartment.

Further details indoors: The lounge is bright and sunny and leads directly onto the balcony, via double glazed patio doors. The TV is connected to a Satellite dish so that you can watch English channels, (BBC, ITV,) If you have a Sky card with extra channels don't forget to bring it with you. There is also a DVD and CD player and a selection of films.
The master bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed, plenty of wardrobe space and full en-suite bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds (or super king-sized bed if preferred) and fitted wardrobes - this bedroom also has its own full bathroom. Travel cot and z-bed also available. During the summer months we use 100% cotton sheets and throws and in the winter months, cosy duvets. There are also 2 large free-standing fans in the apartment for summer use and heating in winter.
The kitchen is modern and well equipped with absolutely everything you might need, double glazed door leads directly to balcony. There is a breakfast table and 6 chairs or dine alfresco on the terrace where there is a large table and 6 chairs (2 recliners). Sun blinds for when its too hot!!
There is also a parasol and two super lite-weight sun loungers for your use at the pool or beach together with a selection of beach bats,balls,buckets,spades etc. for the children.
Further details outdoors: As the apartment is right on the beach front, it is ideal for beach holiday, but would also suit golfers who wish to combine the beach with a golfing holiday. The are 5 miles of promenade on your door step, so for your morning walk, why not walk towards Fuengirola Castle passing the Marina.
The Swimming pool/garden area is open during summer months - 1st June to mid September each year. Parasol and sun loungers are available in the apartment for your use at the pool or beach.
If you require INTERNET access - there is an 'internet cafe' just across the road offering ADSL access, also cheap international phone calls and fax facilities.

Conditions
PAYMENT DETAILS: A deposit of 25% of the rental fee secures the booking (non-refundable) which can be paid by bank transfer, full details on rental agreement. The balance is payable ON ARRIVAL - or if preferred prior to arrival by cheque or bank transfer.
DAMAGE DEPOSIT: refundable damage deposit of £100 or equivalent in euros is payable on arrival and will be refunded on departure day - subject to satisfactory property inspection.
Remember to apply for your new EHIC card (replaces the old E111) available free on line at www.ehic.org.uk or from the post office, also appropriate Travel Insurance is required.

Rental rates are based on 2 adults + children sharing with additonal adults paying £50 pw each. During the Summer holidays the weekly price is per family.
The apartment is also available for WINTER BOOKINGS of 4 weeks or more at the rate of £200pw and includes electricity & satellite TV (BBC,ITV ,Channels 4 & 5 etc..) Jan - March & Nov/Dec each year.

Many thanks for providing a cosy, comfortable apartment and thus enabling us to enjoy a wonderful 3 weeks in the delightful Spanish sun. The apartment is so close to the train station and local buses as well as being just across from the beach so convenient all round. Loved the roomy balcony and being able to just sit and watch the waves coming in. Thank you Jenny for coming to our aid at the first sign of any little problem, it was most appreciated. We were very impressed by your lovely, well equipped, clean and nicely furnished apartment which was so cosy and convenient even when we had over 2 weeks of storms. Thank you for all your help and very prompt attention with any problems we had. It is so comforting to know that there is someone close by if anything goes wrong. We enjoyed sitting on the large balcony and the pleasure of having breakfast together in the sun and watching the sea and fishing boats go by.
