The apartment is very spacious (previously two apartments) and has now been converted into one apartment with a large central square hall with rooms leading off. It is light and airy with high ceilings and a great open plan feel to it.

The apartment's location is excellent, very central, and it is situated right in the middle of the beautiful old town in a pleasant orange tree lined street, close to all amenities. It's a two minute stroll to the beach with a great range of cafes, restaurants being a minutes walk to the famous 'Fish Alley', shops, etc. and moments away from the trendy and upmarket bars. It is furnished to a good and comprehensive standard. The seating area is particularly generous and comfortable and it is open plan leading to the kitchen/dining area, having 2 sets of patio doors one leading to the balcony.

The apartment sleeps 4, the master bedroom is large with two single beds, and plenty of storage space, patio doors open onto a small balcony (large enough for small table and chairs). The second bedroom is suitable for two children or for two adults. The main bedrooms two single beds fit nicely together to make a double if required. Therefore the apartment is suitable for either a family or two couples.

The supermarket is a 5 minute stroll (great for fresh bread in the mornings!) through the old, very pleasant square, with it's beautiful church, trees, fountain and cafes - a real meeting place. The main shopping street is also only a few minutes from the apartment. The area is lively and has lots of character, it is not a high rise 'desert' and offers an attractive and very wide, well equipped beach with sun loungers, and pleasant seafront walks, as well as local interest at the nearby harbour. The penthouse apartment is situated on the 3rd floor of a low lying 'hacienda' style building, built around a pleasant quadrangle. The stairs are short and easily negotiated, (even by the owner's 91 year old mother - returning recently, from yet another short visit). The apartment is unsuitable for people with significant mobility problems.

The apartment is very well appointed, comfortable and roomy. Linen and towels are provided but we would request that you please bring your own beach towels, missing towels will be charged for. The area around the apartment is very lively, however, because the apartment is a penthouse and set back, noise is not a problem. We find the position of the apartment really good as everything and every amenity is very much "on your doorstep". Security in the building is good. Both balconies have standard height railings of over a metre tall, please note that toddlers and children should be supervised on the balconies. The apartment has air conditioning and a further two fans, if needed. There are two heaters for the cooler months. Electricity / air conditioning / hot water included in the price. Apartment cleaning and fresh laundry also included in the price.

The Costa del Sol has been an international tourist destination since the early fifties.

Beautiful area and a lovely climate.

Places to check out on your visit:

Malaga a local train trip away is a beautiful, historic town with lots to do and see, with its fantastic castle and Picasso museum.

Tivoli World, is a theme park a short distance away in Benalmedena, you can catch the local train which drops you off at the entrance to both Tivoli World and the Cable Car.

The Crocodile Park, Dolphin World and another Aqua park are in nearby Torremolinos (short distance by train also).

A short bus ride takes you to the pretty village of Mijas, where you can take a donkey ride through the little village streets.

Excursions can be booked at the nearby bus/coach station, and include trips to the stunning gorges of Ronda, beautiful Seville and its magnificent Cathedral, the historic Grenada with the Alhambra Palace, or visit the Rock of Gibraltar for the day or even go just across the water to exotic Tangier in North Africa!

Within 20 minutes by local bus or train you can be in Benalmadena with its “mini Disney World” (Tivoli World) or Mijas, a pretty 9th century Andalucian village with its landscaped viewing platforms overlooking the spectacular coastline below, or famous Marbella & Puerto Banus with its trendy shops and beautiful Marina.

There are many golf courses with Miraflores, La Cala and Alhaurin & Mijas Golf only 15 mins away by car.


Fuengirola is a relatively large town on the Costa del Sol with a long beach. The promenade is wide with a cycling track and monuments are found along it. It has a large Marina and has a typical older (and central) part of town with lots of beautiful narrow streets full of orange trees and traditional shops and cafes, and this is where the apartment is situated.

The Fuengirola Biopark (excellent nature park/zoo) is no more than 15 mins walk from the apartment, a great place for everyone.

There is a Cultural Fair in May and a further Fair in October in the market area.

Fuengirola offers all the facilities of a major tourist centre, restaurants, bars, discotheques, sports clubs, etc. Broad beaches flank the city east and west (Carvajal, Gaviotas, Los Boliches, San Francisco, Santa Amalia, Castillo) with "chiringuitos" - simple beach side sheds housing restaurants - offer typical dishes such as Gazpacho (Typicial Andalucian cold soup), skewered sardines, fresh catch of the day, etc.

The remains of the Moorish castle of Sohail are on the western edge of Fuengirola, 15 mins stroll along the lovely Paseo Maritimo beach front and there are great views from the top. You will find a number of interesting venues such as the Roman baths at Torreblanca, the Outdoor Museum exhibiting paintings by a variety of artists, the Yacht Harbour, Yacht Club, a Bull Ring, and golf courses.

The town is filled with character. The arrival of many up-market tapas bars and good restaurants, mixed with chic boutiques and many other interesting shops, as well as lovely, clean beaches, make it ideal for a holiday. Plaza de la Constitución is the main square, it is very charming (the apartment is only one minute's walk away)and is a central point for everyone.

Getting to Fuengirola from Malaga Airport couldn't be easier. Take a taxi (takes 20 minutes )straight to the apartment for approx €30- €35. Or come by train, the station is less than a minute's walk across the car park from the Departures area of the Airport. The train is reliable and cheap and will bring you directly to the centre of Fuengirola which is the last stop. (It takes less than 10 minutes walk to the apartment).

The beachfront is flanked by one of the longest promenades on the Costa - it was recently widened and landscaped to provide the perfect venue for the traditional Spanish "paseo", the popular past time of promenading with no particular destination in mind! The beaches are clean and safe, with all the water sports you would expect from a holiday resort. The beaches hold a European Blue Flag.

Fuengirola is an ideal location for a family holiday. There is no shortage of things to do, take a ride around town on "the little train" or on a horse-drawn carriage, right through to a host of water sports.


The bus station / train station / ferry are within 10 minutes walk from your apartment.

Travel facilities are easy to use and are cheap and efficient.

Eating Out:-

The main eating area (about 1 minute's walk away) with scores of restaurants, cafes, fast food, bars is known as 'Fish Alley' where you can get a 3 course meal from as little as £7.


There are supermarkets and fast food outlets within 200m (3-4 minutes walk) from your apartment. There is a very big open market every Tuesday, selling food, clothes, shoes, gifts, etc. There is also a flee market on Saturdays in the same location, as well as a market near the Marina on Fridays.

The shopping in Fuengirola is fun with plenty of small shops in the town to choose from. Also, within walking distance is the Miramar Shopping Centre which is a large modern retail complex with larger stores and multiplex cinema (many films in English). There is go-karting on the roof for the adventurous young and old!

"Great place in the perfect location!"

We were lucky to find this gem of an apartment! well laid out with everything you could need. Light and airy main living area with a great big corner sofa and TV, nice kitchen area with dining table, 2 good sized bedrooms, a double for us and twin beds for the kids, and there are balconies front and back for sunbathing, and it's location is ideal! central for everything you need within a 5 minute walk, the beach is just down the street and bus and train stations 5 minutes the other way. Go left out the secure courtyard and you're into the lovely town Square and tapas bars it really is in the perfect spot. Fuengirola has lots to offer and so does Villa Blanca, we were spoiled for 2 weeks and would highly recommend this lovely place to stay.

"Great apartment"

I stayed in Ellen's apartment at the end of July beginning of August this year with my husband and our 5 year old son.

Booking the apartment was very easy and I had lots of contact with Ellen and any questions were answered very quickly.

The apartment is in a great location. We wanted 2 weeks away to relax and not do much at all, so the location was perfect. Only 2 minutes walk from the beach and lovely restaurants. Considering you are so close the everything the apartment is very quiet.

The apartment it's self had everything we possible needed. There are 2 great size bedrooms with lots of storage, a comfy sofa, a small air con unit in the front room and a couple of fans for the bedroom and a kitchen that has everything you need if you want a night in and cook.

We will definitely be booking this apartment again.

"Lovely light and airy apartment."

The apartment was very centrally located, ideal for getting to the beach, shops and supermarket. The train station was within walking distance so you could get the train from the aiport for approximately 2.80 Euros instead of paying a lot more for a transfer or taxi.
The apartment was very well presented and was large as formerly it was 2 apartments. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you would need for a very pleasant stay.

"Lovely traditional penthouse apartment"

This a really lovely apartment. It is located in the old part of Fuengirola in a street full of traditional Spanish town houses.

It benefits from a large open plan hall, lounge, kitchen and dining area. The bathroom is a good size and benefits from a really good shower over the bath. Although I did not cook while away the kitchen was very well equipped. It also benefits from a large fridge freezer so plenty of space to store all the cold drinks.

There are two bedrooms the larger of which has fantastic storage, there are two single beds which are very comfortable, ok I only used one of them. There are also fans for the bedrooms which was very handy as it was hot when I was there. I also noticed there are heaters for those cooler winter months.

The lounge has air conditioning. The apartment also has two balconies, so lovely if you want to catch the sun or shade all day.

The beach is a few minutes walk away as are a couple of good supermarkets and loads of restaurants. I found it ideally situated for my needs and even made it to the little theare one night, again virtually just round the corner.

Dealings with the owner could not have been easier, I booked at quite short notice and everything was finalised in a couple of days.

I should however point out the one down point, for some people, which is you need to walk up three floors to access the apartment. The only time I found this difficult was when I had suitcases but it may be a problem for anyone with mobility problems.

I would really hope to be able to stay here again I loved it.

"Fabulous location, short stroll to town and beach"

I'm sure it would be hard to find somewhere with the space and comfort combined with easy access to Fuengirola, be it nightlife or culture that you are looking for. Handy for the bus station for trips into the hilltop towns, the modern railway connecting with the airport at Malaga or the city centre as well as the coastal resorts in-between. The accommodation is homely, clean and offers plenty of space and all creature comforts.
