Don Juan Apartments
About the home
Only 20 minutes transfer time from Malaga airport and a quick and easy train service almost to the door, this is a hassle free holiday destination. Good swimming pool from the apartment or a beautiful sandy beach only minutes walk away. If you have a hire car there are plenty of golf courses nearby and we even supply a set of clubs for you to use!
A small supermarket is open from 9am to 9pm every day just a walk away from the apartment and on the sea front; everything available and they speak English very well.
More supermarkets available in Benalmadena (take the train) and Los Boliches (towards Fuengirola) again by train otherwise, if you have a hire car, there is a Carrefour nearby.

The Costa del Sol region
Malaga is very chic with wonderful shopping and a fantastic Castle and Port. Most of the Mediterranean Cruise Liners dock in Malaga together with other large vessels, some belonging to celebrities. A visit to the Picasso museum is very interesting and not expensive.
The weather here is very good most of the year and very warm in the high summer with wall-to-wall blue sky.
Fuengirola is also very interesting and has a maze of restaurants in 'Fish Alley' which is buzzing with people of all nationalities during the evenings.
Carvajal has restaurants along the beach front, mainly the Spanish Fish restaurants, which are very good indeed, but also some English ones too. All restaurants in this area speak English very well.
The Fuengirola / Carvajal area
If you are adventurous and hire a car it is well worth visiting Seville, Cordoba, Granada and Nerja. Mijas is the nearest very interesting little town of character with white-painted cottages and expansive views from the beautiful high hill gardens; bargaining for leather goods is fun too!! Ronda is a must to visit also and, of course, who could resist a peek at the 'celebs' in Marbella and Puerto Banus with its wonderful yachts. There is a road map available.
Benalmadena market is held every Friday and a trip on the train from Carvajal is only a couple of Euros; wonderful leather bargains and other Spanish goodies and wonderful fruit and vegetables too. There is a Waterpark in Benalmadena together with access to a wonderful Ski lift with magnificent views from the top over the surrounding areas.
Of course, no visit to this area would be complete without a visit to Gibraltar for duty free shopping, or to indulge in its British history and a walk to the top to see the monkeys.

My wife and I spent an enjoyable 2 weeks at this apartment. It is spacious and comfortable with a good loung/diner, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. We liked sitting out on the balcony for views of the sea and the shared pool (which was clean and uncrowded).
The apartment is in easy walking distance of the small town of Carvahal and the station where there are frequent trains to Malaga or Fuengirola.

Nicely located apartment in a well maintained complex. Tastefully furnished and equipped with everything you're likely to need for self-catering. Beach, shop and restaurants within easy reach. Train station at the bottom of the hill with direct line to Malaga. Be prepared to walk up a steep hill at the end of your day out but the reward is the view out across the valley. Don't forget the insect repellent at night!

The town is a typical small Spanish resort on the meditteranean coast. It has everything you need, with a good selection of restaurants a short walk away. The train station is easily within walking distance, but far enough away to not disturb you! This provides excellent (and good value) access to the airport and Fuengirola. The only downside was the gradient of the hill from the town/station, but it provides excellent views as you can see from the photos!
The apartment itself is modern, spacious and airy, with a homely feel. Everything worked and the kitchen was well appointed should you wish to cater for yourself.
The neighbours were all friendly and we were not disturbed by anyone in the night during our stay.
