If you want to explore further afield then historical cities of Granada and Seville are only two hours away. Car hire is available within a 1 minute walk of the apartment. Alternatively, scheduled coach tours will pick up and drop off locally.

Fuengirola is particularly popular with tourists with a wide variety of entertainment and restaurants to choose from Andalucian traditional tapas (snacks bars) to local fish restaurants to the British Fry-up's.
Fuengirola offers entertainment for all tastes and ages from a ride on the tourist train or horse and carriage around the town. Enjoy a day at the water park plus Fuengirola also offers a wide range of sports, including water sports at the marina. There are markets on a Tuesday and Saturday is a giant car boot sale and a craft and tourist market. They are located on the Recinto Ferial site.
At night, Fuengirola truly comes alive with every kind of bar, restaurant and club you can imagine. Fuengirola is an international resort that is well established. If visiting Spain, Fuengirola is the best base to explore the Costa del Sol and Andalucia.

For days out there are many places to visit like Gibralter, located at the entrance of the Mediterranean or maybe Granada with its impressive Arabian castle El Alhambra or inland there is the beautiful Ronda with fabulous views, not forgetting Malaga city itself with its spectacular cathedral and the famous Piccaso Museum.
The Fuengirola / Carvajal area
This property is in a fantastic location right in the heart of Carvajal, which is a suburb of Fuengirola. Carvajal lies between Fuengirola and Benalmadena and has some excellent restaurants, bars and shops. It is found to be less crowded than Fuengirola with a distinct Spanish influence and magnificent beaches. A car is not necessary for this location as it so close to all necessary amenities. Additionally there are bus stops and Carvajal train station with easy walking distance.
Carvajal is a fifteen minute walk along the promenade to Fuengirola Centre.

A Taxi from Malaga Airport to the Penthouse takes appox. 20-30mins depending on traffic and costs approx. €35,00/one way.
Alternatively you can catch the train for the FUENGIROLA LINE from MALAGA AIRPORT and get off at the Carvajal Train Stop (cost approx €2,00/one way). The train leaves every 30 minutes. Stand on the airport side of the open platform for the Fuengirola Line. You can buy tickets from the automatic ticket vending machine.
First train departs Malaga Airport at approx. 5:30am and the final departure is at approx. 10:30am.
Once arriving at Carvajal Train Stop you can either:
a) Take a TAXI (3-5mins) Approx. €10,00/one way.
OR
b) Take a walk - 10 min. to the apartment.
