The Old Barn is a superb single storey barn conversion which has just been completely renovated to an exceptional standard. Farm & country living meets comfort and style of urban living! It is located on the 140 acre Holt Farm Estate in Witham Friary which is in the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire downs Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty and is just two hours from London.
The most incredible feature of this property is the beamed vaulted roof structure which, with such a large area, is a truly remarkable construction. This stunning large living space has been stylishly furnished and the open plan layout of the kitchen, dining room and lounge works exceptionally well and people just love being in this room. As well as four stylish bedrooms (two with en-suite), bathroom, utility and cloakroom, The Old Barn also has a large enclosed garden, ample parking and of course access to most of the farm estate.
If you require more sleeping accommodation then we also have The Calf House (sleeps 6 & next door) and Holt Farmhouse (sleeps 9-10) which can be rented all together.
The Holt Farm Estate is made up of 140 acres of fields of lovely Somerset countryside and it also includes a lake and its own woodlands. This is a working farm but you are welcome to walk along the estate where marked. Children must be accompanied and dogs must be on a leash.
The Old Barn is ideal for luxury self catering, special occasions, weekend breaks, short breaks and ideal for exploring Somerset and Wiltshire. Just some of the nearby attractions include; Longleat ( 7 miles away), Stourhead Gardens (3.5 miles away, Bath (22 miles away and Glastonbury (21 miles away) Within sensible driving and taxi distances there are some superb restaurants and pubs including; Archangel in Frome, At The Chapel in Bruton and the Spread Eagle in Stourhead.

The Old Barn has been furnished to exceptionally high standards and the specification of property fittings is exceptional. One of the great features of this property is its size and the remarkable high vaulted ceiling.
The bed linen is superb quality and each guest has a hand towel and a bath towel.
The barn easily sleeps 8 across four bedrooms of which two have en-suites. The bed details are as follows; Bedroom One (with en-suite) - 6'6" antique Italian bed, Bedroom Two (with en-suite) - 6'0" antique Italian framed bed, Bedroom Three - 2 x 3ft beds that can be zipped together to make a superking, Bedroom Four - Antique sleigh beds, 1 x 3' x 6' and the other is a reduced sized bed and is 2'10" x 5'10".

The Frome / Witham Friary area
Witham Friary is a small village and civil parish located between the Somerset towns of Bruton & Frome in North East Somerset. It is also in the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Witham Friary is only two hours from London by car and it is conveniently located for Longleat ( 7 miles), Bath (22 miles ), Mendip Hills (20 miles) World Famous Stourhead gardens & house (5 miles) and close to the Glastonbury Festival (15 miles)

From London - from M3 - 1hr 45 mins
Take the M3, exit at junction 8 onto A303 for Andover/Salisbury. Stay on road for 52 miles, take B3092 (Frome) for 1.9 miles, turn left onto Stourton Lane, continue onto New Road, slight left onto private road, private road turns right into Holt road, continue onto Dark Lane, 0.4 miles turn left into private lane of Holt Farm Estate.
