The South East England / Essex region
Frinton Beach is very sheltered andhas a very long stretch of sand, you can walk to the towns on either side easily. Historically one of Englands first resorts where the English Gentry went including King Edward who used to play tennis there. A pleasant and unspoilt part of untouched England with tradtional houses and unspoilt beaches. Colchester Historic Town is nearby.
Frinton on Sea area
Not far from Colchester, the historic, oldest garrison town in England, Frinton is a lovley quiet seaside resort boasting a clean and sandy beach backed by attractive Victorian style beach huts. The apartment is in a road that leads to the beach. Frinton also has a good golf course, overlooking the sea. A prestigious Lawn Tennis Club, hosting International events on par with similar at Wimbledon. Exclusive shops, good restaurants. and the Summer Theatre presenting tradtional and modern plays, with Actors from Londons West End
Frinton was an exclusive Victorian and Edwardian holiday resort for the gentry. It has kept its charm and elegance. It is famous for its lovely clean and sandy beaches, (we include a beach hut with cooking facilities out of season, in season this can be hired from a local agent) Shopping in the immaculate trree lined Connaught Avenue is a delight, with its man clothes shops, restaurants and antiques shops as well as individual butchers, fishmongers and greengrocers, Frinton Golf Club was founded in 1892 and overlooks the sea. Frinton lawn Tennis Club hosts ITF Futures, Veterans and Junior Open Tournament, the same level as Wimbledon. Frinton Summer Theatre, founded by the actor Jack Watling has actors and productions from the London stage.
