La Casa Del Valle is an ideal property for families who want to enjoy the beauty of rural Spain, where the mule men and the local goat herder (Sebastian) still pass by, and yet be just a few minutes away from the beautiful award winning, white washed village of Frigiliana, with its narrow cobbled streets, shops, bars and restaurants, and a short car journey from the lovely sea side town of Nerja where there are many different beaches to enjoy.

The house has three bedrooms in the main house, and in the garden a totally self contained "casita " with double bed, kitchen and bathroom, and so can be booked as a 3 or 4 bedroom villa (different prices).

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa Del Sol east of Malaga is the perfect place for a holiday, offering everything from quiet little coves and beaches, to the busier resort towns, Travel a short distance inland, and you will see many little white washed mountain villages where time seems to have stood still.

Nerja which was once a sleepy fishing village, still retains its Spanish charm with narrow streets, and white washed houses with balconies full of bright red geraniums. It has seven different beaches from small quiet coves to the largest - Burriana where you can do most watersports or just relax and enjoy the sun.

The promenade is lined with restaurants selling locally caught fresh fish, Paella, and the smell of barbecued fresh sardines is irresistible.Sitting here watching the sun go down with a glass of wine is the perfect end to the day.

Nerja itself has a very wide range of restaurants Spanish, English, Italian, Asian, Indian, Chinese and of course the traditional tapas bars can still be found off the beaten track.

Frigiliana area

Frigiliana has been voted the prettiest village in Andalucia, and has received many prizes for its beauty and excellent conservation. Its narrow, steeply winding and cobbled streets retain its original Moorish flavour. The white washed houses with their balconies covered in bright red geraniums make it very attractive.

The church square is a lovely place to sit and have coffee in the mornings or dinner in the evenings, overlooking the 16th Century church of San Antonio. There are still many local festivals and fiestas to be enjoyed, and many bars and restaurants to be enjoyed in the village. Frigiliana lies on the edge of the Tajeda National Park, and information about the many walks around here can be found at the tourist centre.

Frigiliana also has many small local shops selling fresh fruit and vegetables and just about anything else you need, although you may have to wait whilst the old Spanish ladies discuss the days gossip and put the world to rights! but that's all part of the charm of Frigiliana.

How to get there

Malaga Airport to Casa Del Valle aprox 50 minutes.
Cheap flights with Easyjet, Bmibaby, Thomsonfly. and now Ryanair (to Granada).

Regular buses from Malaga to Nerja (10 minutes from Frigiliana).
Taxi from airport aprox 65 euros.

Plenty of car hire companies (we have always used Malaga Car.com so have many of our friends and no complaints so far).

The main house has two double bedrooms and one twin, with 1 bathroom and 1 shower room. All rooms have ceiling fans.

There is a large outdoor covered dining area seating 8 just outside the kitchen.

All linen apart from beach towels are provided and changed weekly.

The property is totally walled , with grass areas, terraces, shady spots and covered areas. It has a large swimming pool area with stunning views of both the mountains behind and down the valley to the sea.

Next to the swimming pool is a large covered seated area and BBQ, beyond the swimming pool are a few steps up to the casita. The countryside around the villa is mainly olive groves and avocado plantations.

Check in 3pm check out 10am (this may be flexible, depending on the arrival of the next guests) Changeover day is normally Saturday but again this can vary so check availability calendar.
