The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa del Sol region is named because of the 300 plus days per year of sunshine! Nerja and Frigiliana are aproximately 60 kilometers east of Malaga the provincial capital. Casa Las Mariquitas is situated midway between Nerja on the Coast and the award winning whitewashed village of Frigiliana, awarded the "best kept village" of Andalucia. The village has many restaurants and tapas bars situated in the maze of cobbled streets.
Nerja has beautiful coved beaches, the famous Balcon de Europe and many, many good restaurants and tapas bars. The world famous Nerja Caves are situated nearby in the pretty village of Maro.
Frigiliana area
Apart from the beaches of Nerja and the award winning village of Frigiliana there are many other places of interest and activities such as horseriding, golf, scuba diving, water sports etc., all readily available. The Frigiliana fiesta in June and the Easter festival should not be missed, Nerja has many festivals and we can give advice on these to guests.
How to get there
Fly to Malaga Airport. You can use low cost airlines such as Monarch, Easyjet, Bmibaby, Ryanair, Mytravelite etc. Plenty of car hire firms at Malaga, we can advise you. 40 minutes by car to Casa Las Mariquitas, or by taxi or bus. We can give directions and will meet you at the exit from the motorway.
