The Isle of Wight region

Famous for its superb beaches, dramatic coastlines and outstanding natural beauty, the Island is a holiday haven with something for everyone. From secluded coves and wide expanses of sandy beaches it’s not just the stunning landscapes that attract visitors to the Island, but the variety of things to see and do. Rich in a wide variety of sporting and leisure activities, visitors return year after year to enjoy another holiday with Home from Home Holidays. Self-catering is the most popular option because it is both cost effective and offers flexibility with the freedom to come and go as you please.

Freshwater

The West Wight is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Visit Alum Bay's famous coloured sand cliffs or take a boat trip to one of Britain's most famous natural landscapes, the Needles. Freshwater offers a good range of quaint shops in the town centre, and like Yarmouth, is busy all year round. Freshwater Bay is a good starting point for the Tennyson Trail - a dramatic walk along towering cliff-tops. Compton Bay's long sandy beach is not only a popular spot for surfing and swimming, but its world famous dinosaur fossil finds. Yarmouth has some excellent shops, and several superb restaurants and pubs. Take time to explore Totland Bay with its pretty beach and short esplanade, and for birdwatching visit Newtown's Nature Reserve.

"basic accomodation"

recently updated kitchen and bathroom - no welcome pack although old cottage so would have been nice to have some information about the history of the cottage. front porch leaked when it rained, and front door when opened was full of woodlice. which ran all over the floor of the porch. the wall at the back door was wet and paper was falling off. location was lovely really close to the beach. could be a lovely holiday home just needs some basic maintenance and a bit of TLC
