Driftwood is a two bedroom holiday home at Freshwater Bay Holiday Village (also known as Trewent Park).

It is clean, comfortable and well equipped with integrated fridge and freezer, 32 inch TV, WiFi etc.

The two bedrooms are a double and a bunk bedroom. The bathroom has a bath with shower over.

In March 2013 the exterior will be upgraded so it will be one of the more attractive holiday properties on the site.

Driftwood is located near to the front of the holiday village so it is only 250 metres from the beach and Coastal Path.

Freshwater East beach is a wide sandy sheltered beach, popular with families and for sea swimming and water sports. The walk to the beach is gentle, so you don't have to carry your beach things up the steep hill. You can go to and from the beach several times a day, if you wish, as it is so conveniently located. You won't need to drive and pay to park the car to get to the coast unless you want to go further afield.

Following the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from the site will take you towards Manorbier and Tenby in one direction or towards Stackpole and Barafundle in the other. Both routes have spectacular scenery. There is a coastal bus service so you have the option to catch the bus back.

Compared with other 3 star graded self catering holiday properties in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Driftwood is very reasonably priced. Many visitors make return visits because the accommodation is good value for money, comfortable and in an excellent location. The accommodation appeals to families, couples, individuals, small groups, international visitors and outdoor sports enthusiasts such as surfers, climbers, walkers and fishermen.

Driftwood is one of a small group of similar holiday homes at Freshwater Bay that are owned and run by Jenny and her sister Vanessa (Pembrokeshire Wales Coastal Holidays) who both live locally and provide a friendly service. Their other holiday properties are also advertised on Holiday Lettings so if you wanted to book more than one for an extended group of family or friends, that would be possible subject to availability.

The Pembrokeshire region

Driftwood is situated in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in the county of Pembrokeshire in South West Wales.

The National Park is famous for its spectacular coastal scenery. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path runs the whole length of Pembrokeshire. Walking on the path provides an excellent way to enjoy the National Park.

There are several islands which can be visited, for example Skomer Islands to see the Puffins or peaceful Caldey Island where there is a monastery.

Pembrokeshire has a mild climate.

It is a very popular place for outdoor sports especially surfing, fishing, climbing, sea kayaking, cycling, coasteering and kite surfing.

You can also enjoy fresh locally grown or caught produce in cafes, pubs and restaurants throughout the county. There are also quaint towns and villages where you will find local arts and crafts.

Freshwater East

Pembroke is in the south of the county. This is a great area for a holiday as it combines beautiful beaches and coastal scenery with interesting heritage sites and fun theme parks.

The beaches in this area are particularly good. Freshwater East is a lovely sandy sheltered beach for swimming and water sports. Freshwater West, a favourite with surfers, is a wild beach recently chosen by film directors for filming Robin Hood and Harry Potter. Barafundle Bay and Broadhaven South are wonderful National Trust owned beaches. There are popular resort beaches at Tenby and Saundersfoot. Manorbier beach is good for rock pooling and has Manorbier castle as a back drop.

Other interesting heritage sites are Carew and Pembroke Castles, St Govan's chapel and Lamphey Bishop's Palace.

Local beauty spots include the 'Green Bridge of Wales' and Stackpole Lakes (also know as Bosherston Lily Ponds).

And if you like animal or activity parks then you are spoilt for choice: Oakwood Theme Park, Heatherton Activity Park, Folly Farm, Dinosaur Park, Manor House Wildlife Park, Blue lagoon Water Park.

Tenby, Pembroke and Pembroke Dock are the main towns in this area. Tenby, with its harbour, Georgian architecture, gift shops and Norman town walls is a popular destination for tourists.ur You can take a fishing trip or a trip to Caldey Island from the harbour. Pembroke has an imposing castleand m ill pond that is well worth a visit. Pembroke Dock, on the Milford Haven Estuary, has an interesting naval history and is where you will find the main supermarkets.

There are numerous opportunities for outdoor sports from informal walking to full on adrenalin sports. There is a surf school and an outdoor activity centre if you want to book some lessons or a taster session.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am glad to hear that you appreciated the accommodation and the location. We pride ourselves on providing clean, well equipped accommodation and offering good customer service.
I can confirm that it only gets really busy in the school summer holidays. If you prefer quieter times then I would recommend avoiding peak weeks although there is a very good holiday atmosphere in the Holiday Village during those weeks.
