About the home

The villa in centrally located in the Winelands of the Western Cape and gives guests the ability to enjoy a holiday in the most beautiful valley in the world. Guests can enjoying the world acclaimed wine estates and restaurants of the area or wonder the streets of the local villages which come alive at night with al fresco dining and lively wine bars or take a quick trip to Cape Town which is a 30 min drive.

If you need a little adventure the villa is equipped with 2 mountain bikes and more bikes can be hired in Franschhoek. The surrounding mountain trails and vineyards make for a breathtaking ride. Horse back riding can be done at Pearl Valley or at one of the neighboring farms. If its a game of golf you are after then feel free to use the golf clubs at the villa (1 lady and 1 mens set) and play at Pearl Valley which is rated 3rd best course in the country and designed by Jack Nicolas.

Taxi services to and from the local villages is available and a day chauffeur can be arranged if you wish to take a drive around the entire peninsular. Whale spotting or shark diving can be done from Hermanus which is one hour 20 mins drive south of the villa.

If you need to cater for a special dinner the valley is famous for our food and a chef can be contracted. This needs to be booked well in advance.

The luxury villa is spectacular and is nestled on the side of a hill overlooking the vineyards and olive trees. All the rooms in the villa have large windows and doors opening out onto patios so as to ensure guests can be part of the beautiful valley. All 4 bedrooms are en suite. All bathrooms have full showers and baths (main suite spar bath), underfloor heating and heated towel rails. All bedrooms have cable TV and couches or reading chairs.
The master chef kitchen is designed to entertain with a large open fire, couches and a farmhouse table that seats 8. The kitchen opens out onto an elevated veranda that looks out over the vineyards.

The kitchen is equipped with Jamie Oliver pots, gas cooker, electric oven, Global knives, Nespresso machine and all the other gadgets for a wonderful cooking experience.Lazy days can be spent around the large pool (11m * 6m) or having a siesta on the large day bed in the summerhouse. The summerhouse is also equipped with a multi level wood grill as well as a gas grill. There is an 8 seat dining table in the summerhouse for those never ending late afternoon lunches.The main dining room has a 10 seat table and with along with the lounge has large glass doors opening onto the spectacular veranda. The wine and cigar bar is an ideal location to watch the African sunset over the silhouetted mountains. For the kids there is a games room in the cellar equipped with ping pong table and a 1/4 size snooker table.

There is also a separate TV room with DVD, large flat screen TV, video games etc. When the kids are feeling a little energetic they are welcome to fish in one of the dams on the estate or trout fishing at one of the neighboring farms can be arranged. There are 2 fishing rods available as well as 2 mountain bikes and 2 sets of golf clubs. For those guest that still need to work out at the end of the day there is a gymnasium equipped with a elliptical trainer Weider weights machine, etc.
The villa offers guests a truly luxury home from home experience. The exhilarating location allows for privacy and tranquility while also being easily accessible to the neighboring villages and Cape Town.
The villa is fully serviced with a cleaning and ironing service on a daily basis (except Christmas and New Years Day). The percale sheets and bath towels will be changed every second day and pool towels are cleaned on a daily basis.

Each room is individually air conditioned which is a necessity in summer. The entire villa is also underfloor heated.

Further details outdoors:
The villa is set on an exclusive estate with a number of dams which have bass in them. Guests are welcome to fish but are requested to return their catch to the water. There is a perimeter fence and controlled acess as well as 24 hour on site security.

Reduced rates on BMW 5 or BMW X3 will be quoted to guests and is available to guests while they are in residence.
Chauffeur service on a daily or weekly basis can be quoted for.
The villa is serviced every day except Christmas and New Years day.
Linen and towel will be changed every second day.
Washing and ironing will be done free within reason.
