Just 2 miles from historic Framlingham with it's 12th Century Castle and only 16 miles from Aldeburgh, Southwold and the Heritage Coast. For music and culture, visit the Maltings at Snape or for family entertainment why not try Easton Farm Park or the Owl Sanctuary at Stonham Barns. Also worth a visit is Saxtead Green Post Mill—built in the late 13th Century and still in working order; climb the stairs to the various floors to see fascinating mill machinery. Open afternoons on Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holidays from April to September, managed by English Heritage. .A county of beauty with something for everyone - you will not be disappointed!

Rose Chalet has been equipped to provide comfortable accommodation with a double bedroom and double sofa bed in the lounge; bedside drawers, lamps and wardrobe complete the bedroom; dining space is available in the kitchen or outside using the patio furniture provided. The bathroom comprises toilet, wash basin and electric shower. Peaceful and secluded the chalet provides a calm environment to return to after a day at the beach. For larger groups, enquire about booking Fuschia Chalet too - discounts available.

Approached over a shingled drive Rose Chalet sits alongside Fuschia Chalet in landscaped gardens adjoining the 16th Century 'Willow Cottage' and is backed by arable farmland. The Chalets are self-catering and guests are required to provide their own pillows, duvets, bedding, linen and towels etc. (Alternatively, bedding only can be supplied at a cost of £25 per bed per chalet). A utility room is conveniently placed nearby providing guests with washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes airer, iron and ironing board plus vacuum cleaner and mop etc for dealing with day to day needs. The utility is also used to store garden furniture for guests use - a set of 4 chairs plus table and sun umbrella for each chalet. Car parking is available at owners own risk opposite the chalets and there is an amenity grassed area for ball games etc.

The grassed amenity area includes a paved area which can be used for barbeques (please do not use the patio area adjoining the chalets). Please vacate the chalet by 11 am on day of departure to facilitate cleaning for next occupants; The chalet now benefits from a state of the art digital TV/DVD in preparation for the digital switchover; HDMI and USB slots plus the usual pause and record facility. From 2012 duvets, pillows and associated linen can be supplied for an additional charge of £25 per bed per chalet, alternatively guests can provide their own; please confirm preference at time of booking.
• Small, well-behaved dogs may be accepted by prior agreement - £20 per dog, maximum of 2; sorry, no cats.
• A damage deposit of £50 (per chalet) must be paid with the final balance, to be refunded subject to property inspection post departure. Keys will available on site unless alternative arrangements have been made.
• 20% deposit required at time of confirmation with return of booking contract or booking email
• Full payment (plus damage deposit) required minimum of 4 weeks prior to selected holiday dates. (Full payment required on confirmation if booking is less than 8 weeks in advance of start date).
• Preferred change over day is Saturday; other days may be accommodated - please enquire. (Consideration will be given to bookings outside the preferred Saturday changeover day however, where these cross a 2 week period a surcharge may be incurred).

Visit Dunwich to enjoy Fish and Chips at the beach side cafe; buy fresh fish here or at Aldeburgh from the sellers on the beach; Southwold is a delightful quintessentially English seaside town with colourful beach huts, a sandy beach, Pier and a Lighthouse to visit - a lovely day at the seaside! Further along the coast the ever popular Aldeburgh is the place to be for eating fish and chips on the beach or browsing the gift shops; for lovers of music and the Arts Snape Maltings provides shops, galleries and restaurants on the River Alde, plays host to the annual Aldeburgh Festival and holds a Farmers Market on the first Saturday of the month.
The Framlingham / Saxtead area
A visit to Framlingham is a must where you can explore the 12th Century Castle built by Roger Bigod, Earl of Norfolk, walk the ramparts and enjoy breathtaking views of the magnificent Framlingham College and surrounding countryside. The Windmill at Saxtead Green, built in the 13th Century provides an opportunity to see a a post mill in action - visit in the afternoon on Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holidays from April to September. Both are English Heritage sites. Easton Farm park and Stonham Barns (Owl Sanctuary) are close by and provide an entertaining day out for children

Just right for a couple. We enjoyed it so much we are going back in Autumn. Never been to Suffolk before and was pleasantly surprised. |
