This newly renovated cottage sits in a stunning location only 200m from Obidos Lagoon peacefully positioned yet only five minutes drive from Foz Do Arelho which is a charming Portuguese village which offers a large selection of restaurants, cafes and bars along with it's surfers paradise beach which opens on to Obidos Lagoon offering safe bathing for young children.
It is an excellent base for exploring a beautiful area of Portugal with archaeological and historic attractions such as Obidos Castle (10 approx mins), many excellent, quality golf courses within 30 mins drive and water sports on the lagoon (5 approx mins). From only 300m away Nadadouro offers restaurants and cafes with an ever greater choice on Foz Do Arelho's promenade including some excellent fresh fish restaurants. The larger town of Caldas Da Rainha is only 10 mins drive away with hypermarkets, daily markets with fresh produce and all the facilities you would expect from a small town including a hospital.
Set in 2.5 acres of private gardens with no neighbours in view, it offers a quiet spot but is close to amenities.The quiet location combined with the many activities make this a perfect family holiday!

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region
The Silver Coast region is a beautiful and unspoilt area of Portugal. There are beautiful, wide beaches with rugged cliffs. It still retains the charm of the 'real' Portugal with plenty of historical sites to visit.
The medieval town of Obidos is only a 15 minute drive away. There are plenty of shops selling local ceramics, crafts and gifts - along with the annual Chocolate festival that takes place in February. Easter is celebrated with a week of events including a torchlight procession through the cobbled streets!
Foz do Arelho / Nadadouro area
Foz Do Arelho's beautiful, white sandy beach is just 5 mins drive from the cottage.
The Lagoon is a quick 200m walks from the cottage and is warm, calm and safe for children. Other beaches that are nearby include Sao Martinho da Porto (13km) and Salir do Porto (10km). Visitors are offered the following activities at the sailing school on Obidos Lagoon: Kitesurfing, windsurfing, waterskiing and canoeing. You can choose to take private lessons or join a course for a few hours each day.
Caldas da Rainha is just a 10 min drive away and offers amenities such as: several hyper-markets, fantastic shopping, a hospital, a train line into Lisbon and a daily market offering fresh fish and produce.
The famous Praia D'el Ray Golf Course is just a 20 minutes drive away. This is an award winning par 72 championship link golf course provides spectacular views of pine forest, sand dunes and the Berlenga Islands. Other local courses include Golden Eagle and Campo Real. How to get there
Flights direct to Lisbon are the most convenient being under 1 hours motorway drive to the Villa. There is a large range of car rental company's within the airport which can be booked in advance (recommended) or on arrival if required. You can also travel by railway to Caldas Da Rainha (6km) and transfer by taxi.
If you prefer to travel by land and sea, try catching the overnight car ferry to Santander (northern Spain) from Plymouth or Portsmouth. From there it is 6 hours' drive to the property.

The property is cleaned prior to arrival, fresh towels and bedding available on arrival and changed weekly (beach towels NOT provided).
A welcome pack is provided on arrival so you can start relaxing straight away.

Conditions
- Deposit should be paid at least 4 weeks in advance of planned stay.
- Balance payment in full for total days booked will be paid to owners in advance of occupancy (cash or cheque).
- Keys will only be issued when full payment (including £200 booking and security deposit) is received by owners.
- Pets are not allowed in the premises.
- Clients are kindly requested to treat premises, contents and neighbourhood with respect throughout occupancy and to keep all in same state of repair and condition.
- No fixtures or fittings are to be removed from the property.
- No smoking inside the premises at any time.
- Any defects should be reported to the owners as soon as possible.
-Clients must leave the property to same standard and condition it was occupied in.
- Clients are requested to strip any used bedding and leave it in the bath along with any used towels prior to departure.
- Any small breakages or damage to property (deemed to cost less than €50 to repair or replace) should be reported to the owners and will not be deducted form the security deposit.
- Any larger breakages or damage to property (deemed to cost over €50 to repair or replace) should be reported to owners and costs will be recovered form security deposit.
- Property is to be vacated by 12:00 on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed with the owners.
- Property will be checked by owners soonest after departure and security deposit refunded in full if property is returned in satisfactory condition.
