Home description

Casa Delfin is a luxury villa ideally located in a tranquil area on the outskirts of the village and offers extensive countryside views.
The villa enjoys a quiet and peaceful setting and is suitable for larger groups or two families with enclosed gardens ideal for small children.
Just a few minutes drive from the spa town of Caldhas Da Rainha the villa has easy access to all amenities including the local markets for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.
The villa is only a 5 minute drive to the stunning beach of Foz do Arelho and Obidos Lagoon. Other beaches in either direction including Sao Martinho do Porto are within a 20 minute drive. Only 2km from motorway access the villa is within easy reach of the historic towns of Alcobaca, Obidos and Fatima.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region

Foz do Arelho / Nadadouro area

Sailing school on Obidos lagoon (3 mins drive) which itself is ideal for young children to paddle and swim in due to it's shallow calm warmer water.
5 Minutes drive to the beautiful beach of Foz do Arelho and the Obidos lagoon.
Golf approx 20 minutes drive at nearby Rio Maior(quinta do Brincal) Praia d ' El Rey and the soon to be opened Bom Successo.
A number of historical centres including Fatima,Batalha, Alcobaca, plus interesting natural caves, splash parks and other places of interest all within an hour's drive.
A large range of local facilities in the local spa town of Caldhas da Rainha including large supermarkets, all within a 5 minute drive.
Nadadouro is a traditional peaceful village wih a number excellent of bars and restaurants (including an English run restaurant) one of which is within a two minute walk.

Two hairdryers/iron and ironing board/ portable clothes airer are available for guests.

For your safety the villa is equipped with electrically operated aluminium shutters which lock in place when lowered/smoke & carbon monoxide detectors/fire extinguisher & fire blanket/first aid box.

For the winter months there are electric oil heaters in all living rooms and a log fire in the lounge.

For the summer months portable fans and a portable air conditioning unit are available.






Further details outdoors:
Private pool with fountains and lighting aswell as a large jacuzzi to help you wind down and chill out. There are steps leading from the patio down into the shallow end of the pool.

Huge south facing patio/leisure/pool area with subdued lighting provides an ideal socialising and relaxation area.
Designated barbecue next to the kitchen with fitted sink.

Al fresco dining with tables, parasols and seating for 12 visitors.
Sun loungers (10) with cushion covers(6).

Buckets and spades/arm bands/lilos/floats etc plus outdoor games, some for use in pool and some for leisure area available.

Secure gated access and driveway parking for several vehicles (additional off road parking to the front of property for a number of vehicles).

If you need peace and quiet there is access via a side gate from the leisure area to the side of the property with bench seating, country side views and plenty of shade for most of the day.

To the side of the property there is a pine tree wood and the area provides some lovely countryside walks (for the energetic the lagoon can be reached via a lovely cross country walk covering approx 2 Km}.


Further details

There are two top of the range golf courses, which are both within a 20 minute drive from the villa. The first is the world renowned Prai d'el Rey, which is situated along the coast just south of the villa. The other golf course is of a very high standard, called Golden Eagle, situated more inland, near Rio Maior. Directions can be given on request.

The picturesque bay of Sao Martinho do Porto, is a 15 minute drive and is ideal for swimming. There is also several aqua parks one in Peniche and one further north in Nazare.

Nadadouro is a quite village with local shops, cafes and restaurants and the villa is perfectly placed as a base for exploring this beautiful area of Portugal

English speaking representative on hand to answer any questions.

Weekly towel and linen change included.
Maid service available as an extra.

We can provide beach towels for an additional £1.50 per towel per week.

Children should be supervised, as there is a swimming pool/jacuzzi with no guard rails.



Conditions

We will require 30% reservation deposit on booking the villa, with the remainder payable a minimum of 8 weeks before departure.
Booking within 30 days of travel must be paid in full.
Changeover day is Saturday unless by specific arrangement.
Arrival after 4.00pm and departure before 10.00 am.
Breakage deposit of £200 repayable within 14 days return after OK from our local agent.
Strictly no smoking inside the property please.
