The West Country region

There are lots of things Cornwall is well loved for making it the UK's award-winning holiday region; the dramatic coastline with its captivating fishing harbours, the spectacular beaches and the pounding surf that provide a natural playground for a variety of water sports, and then of course who can forget famous Cornish pasties and luscious cream teas? The natural environment, recognised nationally across twelve Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty is crisscrossed by the spectacular South West coastal footpath providing walkers with miles of gentle strolls and challenging hikes.

Fowey - The deep natural harbour is picturesque from every approach. Try taking the car ferry from Bodinnick or the passenger ferry from Polruan. Enjoy browsing the delightful shops and eateries.

Polperro - Famous delightful fishing village, full of life day and night! Breathtaking when approached via the National Trust coastal footpath from Talland Bay and Lantic Bay - two of our local beaches most popular with visitors.
