Our location in mid-Cornwall makes us ideally situated for touring the south and north coasts, as well as wonderful places to visit and numerous pubs and restaurants for food and drink. There is always plenty to do and see. Close by are golden sandy beaches, coves to explore, scenic coastal paths to walk, beautiful Cornish gardens, National Trust properties, quaint fishing villages, river trips, ample golf courses to choose from and, of course, the famous Eden Project plus much much more…
Golant has an excellent riverside pub which serves fantastic food, small hotel (Cormorant Hotel) with restaurant facilities and facilities for boat launching. Also within the village is an Art gallery displaying local artists work. Golant has around 110 dwellings with a population of circa 220 people. It has a 13th century Parish Church dedicated to St Sampson. The Saints Way Path is located in the village of Golant which provides spectacular scenery for walks along the river Fowey and leads to all the coastal paths. Golant offers wonderful opportunities for sailing, boating, walking, hiking and nature enthusiasts. Golant is only 3 miles from the picturesque harbour town of Fowey, which can be reached by road (3 miles) or by boat (2 miles) along the beautiful River Fowey.
Fowey with its unspoilt narrow streets offering a variety of unique shops, quality boutiques, delightful galleries, inns and restaurants, as well as sailing and fishing. Boat hire is available in Fowey. Fowey is also mecca for yachting, it has a natural harbour and is a haven for sailing; river trips depart daily. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes, and ferries link Fowey to Polruan & Bodinnick. The famous Daphne du Maurier Festival of Arts & Literature is held every May and features various events and artists. Fowey Regatta & Carnival week is held in August and there is plenty of fun and entertainment for all the family.
Lostwithiel lies at the end of the Fowey valley and was Cornwall's capital town back in the 13th Century. Home to several good restaurants and the heart of Cornwall's antique industry, is a short drive and can also be reached by boat. Renowed for its variety of antique shops, old buildings and tudor bridge. It hosts regular auctions and antiques fairs.
Charlestown has an attractive Georgian harbour with lock gate. The village is the home of several square rigged sailing ships which can often be seen in the harbour. It is a well known location for filming all over the world. The Shipwreck and Heritage Centre offers visitors a fascinating insight into the history of Charlestown and shipwrecks.
Restormel Castle The 12th Century castle, originally built by the Normans, lies to the north of Lostwithiel town. The grounds are ideal for picnics with splendid views across wooded valleys.
Mevagissey is an attractive 15th Century fishing village with its own small working harbour. It has pretty tiny streets; you can browse the gift shops and there are many restaurants serving local fish dishes. There is the Fowey to Mevagissey Ferry that takes about 45 minutes.
Looe is a busy Cornish fishing port and still operates a fish auction market weekdays. It also has a beach and is popular for crabbing, or you can meander through the streets and visit the gift shops.

Once lost for 75 years under bramble and ivy this has been restored to one of the top gardens in Cornwall - well worth a visit and also has an excellent farm shop of local produce. The garden is renowned for its beautiful Magnolias, Rhododendrons and Camellias.
