Cottage | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 5
A dream cottage with glorious sea views, Blanches Cottage is set in a peaceful and secluded location in 2.5 acres of sheltered, south-facing gardens and surrounded by unspoilt nature. Lying between Looe and Fowey, the spectacular National Trust coastline is a 10 minute walk from the garden down an exquisite, almost private valley. Lansallos Cove, an ideal swimming beach and perfect for children, is also within easy walking distance. The fishing village of Polperro and the vibrant port of Fowey are a short drive away.

Outside there are lovely private sitting out areas overlooking the valley and sea, several terraced lawns and lots of secret gardens to explore. For large groups, we can accommodate a further nine people next door in Blanches House.
We include a Cornish cream tea on arrival, free wireless broadband, delicious natural spring water and complimentary access to Fowey Hall Hotel's luxurious pool. Out of season we offer discounted rates for couples with additional guests charged at £50 per week.
Blanches Cottage would suit families (we are fully geared up for babies and small children), walkers (including the four-legged variety), bird-watchers, garden lovers and those who simply wish to get away from it all while staying in a cosy country cottage surrounded by nature.

The West Country region
Cornwall is one of the world's most stunning destinations. From the beautiful coastline of the north to the sheltered bays in the south, loved by surfers, walkers, sailing buffs, gastronauts and visitors simply seeking a break from a busy world have discovered a breathtaking, vibrant culture, first class accommodation, food to die for and a thrilling adventure playground.
Fowey is a vibrant sailing town set around a beautiful estaury. Just across the Bodinnick Ferry you will find magical country lanes and beaches to explore. Most of the coastline between Fowey and Polperro is owned and protected by the National Trust. Lansallos is a dreamy hamlet set around a 14th Century church with a smugglers' track to the beach. Blanches is one of a small handful of private houses in the area with a view of the sea and its position at the head of a beautiful, almost private valley is second to none. We immediately fell in love with it and if you come you will see why!

"Cosy, tastefull and fully equipped accommodation with beautiful garden and breath-taking views."
We have stayed in Blanches Meadows for one week. The cottage is tastefully furnished and well equipped. The location is beautiful with wonderfull gardend and ocean views. The place conveniently located between two pretty towns of Fawey and Polperro. We were very lucky with sunshine weather so there is nothing we could complain about.
We had experience problems with hot water but the property manager was very fast and helpful and fixed it quickly.
I can rommend this holiday to everyone but to tell the truth it is quite costly.
Many thanks for your kind review. We're glad you had a good time and that the hot water was fixed without delay - we're lucky to have a good team on hand for emergencies. The summer school holidays are our most popular weeks. Out of season Cornwall is just as lovely and very good value for money. We offer couples-only rates that start from £450 a week with extra guests charged a flat £50 each.

"Peaceful and relaxed"
We took advantage of an offer in March and it was just the tonic. Beautiful house, gardens and location. Highly recommended. We were quiet lucky with the weather and our 2 dogs loved the gardens and local walks to the coast and beaches. Loved it.
Thanks very much for your review. We're really glad you had a good time and we'd be delighted to welcome you and the dogs back again.

"Blanches Meadow is set in a beautiful & tranquil setting, stunning walking on the door step!"
Blanches Meadow is a real gem! Hidden away in the rolling country side, with beautiful views of the sea from almost every window, it is incredibly tranquil and quiet. A perfect escape from the hum-d… More
Many thanks for your kind review. Our favourite local restaurants (open all year) are "Trewithen" and the Duchy Nursery cafe in Lostwithiel, the Fowey Hall Hotel and "Food For Thought" in Fowey, and the Talland Bay Hotel.

"Idyllic rural setting with views over fields to the sea"
We stayed in both Blanches Meadow and Windsor in April and October 2011 (respectively). We absolutely love both houses and really enjoyed both stays. The houses are cosy, comfortable and welcoming, while the gardens are large and fun for the children to play in and to explore. You can see the sea in the distance from the houses and gardens. You can walk to low cliffs from the end of the gardens, over several fields. We have booked to stay at Meadow during August 2012 and can't wait to get there!
Many thanks for the review. It gives us great satisfaction to know you like being at Blanches so much! Incidentally, if you scramble down the path beyond the bench at the bottom of the valley you'll find yourselves in an area of freshwater rock pools with a waterfall where the Blanches streams meet the sea. A special place that few people know about...
