La Lune is a beautiful cottage that is part of a converted 17th century Breton longhouse. There is also one other cottage in the same location available for rental - La Soleil (Sleeps 8). The cottages are an ideal holiday location for both couples and families and can be rented individually or together for larger parties.
Situated approximately 1 mile from the pretty village of Tremblay with its boulangerie, cafes and restaurants and within easy reach of the many picturesque attractions of Brittany. This location offers something for everyone: magnificent beaches for sun-worshippers, spectacular countryside for nature lovers It also offers some of the world's greatest wines, haute cuisine for gourmets, an abundance of culture for art lovers and tranquillity for the stressed.
The gite comes fully equipped, furnished with Breton antiques. Satellite TV and free WiFi internet access. Garden furniture and barbeques are provided and a three course evening meal is offered on request. Bread, croissants and delicious gateaux are delivered to the hamlet twice a week. Many board games. boules and badminton are available.

The Brittany / Ille-et-Vilaine region
La Lune is in a perfect location for exploring being situated on the borders of Normandy and Brittany, France. Only 25 mins drive from the stunning spectacle of Mont St Michel and the fabulous medieval chateau at Fougeres. Only 40 minutes drive to the Emerald coast with its long Sandy beaches. Close to St Malo, Dinan and Dinard , Avranches, Dol de Bretagne, Cancale, Jersey and Guernsey......
Fougeres / Tremblay area
Mont St Michel, a magnificent spectacle and 2nd only to the Eiffel Tower as France's best loved landmark is only 25 mins drive away. Fougeres, with the finest example of a medieval chateau in Europe and possibly the best local market is also only 25 mins drive. The famous medieval walled town of St Malo overlooking a large harbour and a beautiful sandy beach is only 50 mins away. Cancale the oyster capital of Europe with superb fish restaurants is only 40 mins drive. There are many stunning coastal villages including St Suliac which is listed as one of the prettiest villages of Ille et Vilaine.
The forest of Ville cartier is only 10 minutes drive away and is an ideal location for walking and cycling. There are electronic boats,bikes for hire, pony rides, a superb children’s play area and a fabulous tree walking Parc Acrobatique where you can complete a supervised course whilst attached to a safety harness to overhead cables. The property is ideally located for visiting the beaches of Normandy and Brittany-all within 40 mins. The golf courses of Des Ormes and Granville are within 40 mins. For fishing enthusiats there are a number of lakes close by where you can catch your fresh fish for the barbeque. The nearest village Tremblay, with a bar/restaurant and Spar shop is 5 mins away. St Brice en Cogles with a very large supermarket, a variety of restaurants and tourist office is 10 mins drive. There are banks here with ATMs.
How to get there
45 mins from Rennes and Dinard airports both have low cost airline flights from the UK. The local ports are St Malo1 hour. Caen 2 hours. Cherbourg 2 hours. When you book with us we can give you a 20% discount with Brittany Ferries.

Further details indoors: The Cottages are furnished in traditional Breton style and include all the comforts of home with comfy leather sofas, satellite TV and free internet access.
Bed linen, towels, tea cloths and cleaning/washing products are provided. We also provide highchairs, cots and stair gates on request. Tea coffee and sugar are provided for your arrival and our luxury welcome pack contains homemade jam, fresh eggs as well as wine and cider.
We offer a tantalising evening menu, click here for information. Each cottage has a large selection of books as well as maps and brochures detailing attractions in and around the area. La Lune is a pretty 17th century stone cottage with 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and en-suite shower.
La Lune has a beautiful sitting room/kitchenette. The fireplace has been restored to the original granite and has a Godin wood-burner ensuring toasty , warm winter breaks.
With the 3 seater sofa and 2 comfy armchairs sit back and enjoy satellite TV , DVDs, music a bookshelf with a variety of holiday reading or catch up on all the latest on the internet.
The kitchen and dining area are fully equipped with 4 ring gas cooker and oven, microwave and fridge. The scrubbed pine table and chairs make a delightful dining area. A laundry is available for your convenience.
Further details outdoors: Each cottage has its own garden furniture, private space and barbecue. There is also a garden across the country road looking over corn fields and containing a yet to be renovated bread oven. This is a tranquil area to sit during the evenings and watch the beautiful sunset. Our nearest town 5 minutes drive is Tremblay which has some attractive houses from the 11th century. Tremblay was the birthplace of botanist Rene Louiche-Desfontaines who set up a national botanic specimen collection in the Museum d' Histoire Naturelle. He introduced the cultivation of Durum wheat in to France in 1933. Tremblay erected a bust in his honour.
