"Pickle cottage" comfortably sleeps 12, plus cots. Accommodation includes well appointed light and fresh traditional oak beamed kitchen and utlity room. It has a large spacious salons with cosy woodburning inglenook fireplaces. 'Pickle cottage' offers 5, bedrooms and 1, bathroom. 1, shower room. stairgates are fitted and highchairs are available on request.
'Pickle cottage' before renovation was the farmhouse and old milk parlour and hayloft, and now! offering modern-day comfort with original traditional features, all the rooms have been individually furnished to show the local region.
The large heated family sized plunge pool is available to all guests, Sunloungers and patio furniture as standard.

Brittany where do I start ! Brittany has the largest coastline in all of France. An immense garden between sky & sea surrounded by stretches of jagged coastline. Many other well known French culinary regions can only dream of having such an array of fresh, high quality produce close at hand. Beautiful beaches, quite roads and bustling town markets. Just over the border into Normandy apple orchards grown for it`s sparkling cider, specialities such as creamy Camembert cheeses, heady calvados apple brandies are a must. The climate here on average for the summer months is between 24c to 30c great for tanning around the pool. Magical towns & villages with local street entertainers, fetes, festivals and events. Champrenus Zoo & the Bayeux tapestry plus the city under the sea all close by !

Brittany has the best coastal paths in France so if your preference is hiking or just a gentle walk, the marked paths offer easy routes or for experienced walker maybe the challenging 10 km route to the west.
Le Mont Saint Michel offers guided walks across the bay at low tide from the salt marshes to the Island abbey.
Dol de Bretagne offers a challenging climb to the top of this extinct volcano where you will find a breathtaking view of the bay and views of the seaside town of Cancale.

Cancale: fishing village with oyster banks, famous for its fish restaurants; exhilerating drive on the old coast road.
Visit ''Hirel'' the home of the Moule frites and dine at the restaurant overlooking the mussel beds also the tasty local grown bunches of Garlic sold at the side of the road.
Fougeres: market town with the largest walled castle in Europe.

The five bedrooms are all individually decorated and furnished. The double bedrooms have large comfortable beds overlooking the Breton countryside. There is a large family bedroom sleeping three. And the other two bedrooms has two single beds including bunk beds. Remarkable views of the breton countryside with cows passing twice a day for milking.

A wonderful week at 'La Rafoulais' enjoyed the most fantastic weather. There can't be anywhere better in the world to be when the sun is shining in Brittany. Fantastic beaches plus the best rock pooling ever. John is a great host who will advise and inform as required. Buy some fresh eggs a wonderful tasty treat. Downside, we put on 3kgs each. Staying in our cottage 'Allouette' had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. (The Prince family, Dubai, UAE )

Excellent 2 weeks with our friendly host John. Plenty to do and see including fantastic golf courses, Kids enjoyed the tree zip rides at Port minature also had pony trekking there!
