The Dorset region
Dorset is a county with lots to offer, from astounding natural landmarks such as the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, the beautiful Golden Cap and the popular natural cove at Lulworth to the lively seaside towns of Weymouth, Swanage and Lyme Regis. A week (or longer) self catering holiday in Dorset gives you the time to really soak up the history, feel and beauty of the region, taste the fine local cuisine and enjoy a break from the hectic pace of town or city life.
Portland is a tied island just south of Weymouth and one of the largest man-made harbours in the world. It is home to the National Sailing Academy and will host the sailing events for the 2012 Olympic games.

If you have a large car you would be unable to park outside. The road is very narrow in fact when we turned in from the main road I thought it was a passageway not a road.It is then challenging to get to front door because car is parked right in front. However, once you have got used to this the cottage is very comfortable and well positioned for public transport and nearby shops.
Thank you for your review, we value feedback greatly as it can can help to improve our service. We will look into making notes on the cottage about the parking. I am pleased to hear you found the cottage comfortable and I hope you enjoyed your holiday.
With best wishes
