Mountain View is a clean, first floor apartment set in the Outdoor Capital of the UK. Positioned on the banks of the Caledonian Canal, this is the perfect setting for your holiday in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland.
Situated in Banavie, a small, quiet village three miles from Fort William, it is the perfect base for those who enjoy peace, quiet and the great outdoors, whether from their car, bicycle, canoe, skis or on foot. Access to the countryside starts at the end of the garden, which bounds Neptune’s Staircase on the Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen Way.

The Scottish Highlands region
Scotland's Highlands and Islands are a magical land of immense natural beauty, where the scenery will take your breath away, the flora and fauna captivate, and the attractions and activities excite and appeal.
Mention Fort William and everybody immediately thinks of Ben Nevis, but Lochaber is a paradise not just for climbers and hill walkers but for anyone who enjoys being in the outdoors: fishing, golfing, canoeing, walking, cycling ,sailing, bird-watching. And it’s all on your door step at ‘Mountain View’ making it an ideal base for your outdoor holiday.
Nearby Fort William is The Outdoor Capital of the UK , the end of the West Highland Way and the start of the The Great Glen Way . This shares much of the towpath of the Caledonian Canal which passes the end of the garden! Nevis Range was build as a ski area but climbers and walkers have been quick to realise that the superb gondola provides an easy start to a day out in the hills! The gondola has also proved to be an all year favourite with mountain bikers as it carries them to the top of the steepest, longest, scariest down hill track in the UK. The Forestry Commission has joined in the fun too by creating a vast network of cycle tracks at Nevis Range to suit all tastes, ages and abilities....and all with a cafe at the end! Road cyclists and tourers are not to be left out with miles of quiet roads surrounded by spectacular scenery
