The Scottish Highlands region

A visit to the Highlands of Scotland can take your breath away the first time you come and leave you wanting to return again and again. The weather may be glorious or ominous and still not spoil your holiday, its all part of the sheer rugged beauty of the Highlands. Such a lot has happened here through the centuries you can almost feel it, from nature doing its work to shape the mountains and valleys through to mankind trying to carve out an existence.

Fort William

The Visitors Centre at Glencoe is open seven days a week. The Lochaber district is indeed the Outdoor capital of the UK with Glen Nevis and Ben Nevis (Britain's highest mountain). The Ice Factor at Kinlochleven and the Oban Sea life centre and Sanctuary just north of Oban can be enjoyed by all the family.

Ballachulish has a good Co-op and Post Office, and the Hardware shop can supply fishing rods for hire. There is a new cycle/walk path to Ballachulsh and there are many beautiful walks to explore in the area, please come and take a look for yourself.

"Would definitely stay here again!"

4 Bayview is located in a really beautiful place where the view from the front changes alot depending on the weather. It is situated between Oban and Fort William and for us was ideally placed so we can visit lots of the local attractions and beauty spots. It is very close to Glencoe and driving through it to get around was a pleasure. The property itself is clean and tidy inside with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable seats and beds throughout. It is very cosy and I can imagine it being a really nice place to stay in the colder months too. Thoroughly recommended!!

"Excellent cottage in great location"

The cottage was well equipped and had everything we need to enjoy our stay. Despite the cold temperatures outside the cottage was nice and warm and there was plenty of space for the four of us. There is plenty of car parking adjacent to the house and the information pack provided by the owner was most useful.

The views from the front of the cottage were stunning. It is in a great location for fell walking and for visiting nearby towns such as Oban and Fort William. We would defiantly stay here again!

"A very well situated place"

We spend a week with a magnificent weather in this place. The house is big enough and comfortable too. It is wonderfully located to go as well to the mountains as Ben Navis than to the sea, Oban is a vey nice place. And Glencoe is really close to the house. The boats on the little bay in front of the house we're resolutly charming.
