The village has a good local store and there are superb walks with fantastic views direct from the property, with quiet country lanes as well as numerous mountain biking tracks.

Fort William, just 12 miles south is rightly known as the "outdoor capital of the UK". The wealth of activities, outdoor pursuits and places of interest available are world renowned.

The Nevis range offers an exceptional variety of sporting activities all year round, including climbing, hill walking, paragliding, skiing, snowboarding and a world class mountain biking course.

The less energetic can take a spectacular ride on the gondola that runs up the side nearby Aanoch Mor and enjoy a meal at the famous mountain restaurant at the top or enjoy a cycle ride along the scenic Great Glen Cycle route that runs along the side of the Caledonian canal (bikes available to hire locally).

Fort William

The Lochaber area is a fantasic destination for those who enjoy the many outdoor pursuits available locally, including canoeing/kayaking, hill- walking, mountaineering, mountain biking and fishing.

Excursions from Fort William include the popular day trip to Mallaig on the Jacobite steam train of Harry Potter fame. Many of the Highlands most famous beauty spots are close by.
