About the home

Leave all those worries and pressures back at home and come and enjoy our beautiful Fort Myers Beach home set in a quiet area with some fantastic views across the Bay. With our house you do not have to pack a picnic and drive the car to the beach, then find and pay for a parking spot because our house is located 350yards from the 7 mile pristine white sandy beach, with plenty of activities, restaurants, shops and bars. The house also backs on to a seawater canal in which dolphins can often be seen swimming. It has its own boat dock, perfect for hiring a boat and enjoying the Bay and Gulf or just enjoying a beer and/or fishing at sunset!
This is a superb home which consists upstairs of eat-in kitchen with patio doors leading to a 16ft x 10ft balcony with dining table and chairs. There is a dining room with patio doors leading to the balcony, a lounge with 3 leather sofas, T.V. DVD & stereo, again with doors leading to the balcony which overlooks the pool area and boat dock. 4 bedrooms/3 full bathrooms (2 en-suite) upstairs
The ground floor consists of a kitchen, dining area, lounge with 2 leather sofas, bathroom and bedroom with double bed.
All bedrooms have good closet space. All bathrooms have showers, some have baths as well.
Outside under the overhang there is a new Tiki Bar for the adults to enjoy whilst watching the others swim in the pool. The pool has a shallow end perfect for the children. Please see our website (see below) for more information.

* The pool heater is left on to work with the filter to heat the pool to 82F (28C) year round

It is a stipulation of the rental agreement that AT LEAST 2 clients are 25 years or older and the booking form must be signed by a client (in the rental party) who is over 25 years old.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking.

The Florida / Florida Gulf Coast region

The "Sunshine State" is the perfect holiday destination and a great place for some winter sun. The Gulf Coast offers many white sand beaches for you to relax on and explore. Watersports are abundant. Watch the sun go down and enjoy the pleasant climate that the Gulf Coast has to offer.

The Fort Myers Beach / Estero Island area

Fort Myers Beach is a perfect holiday destination with its very 'laid back' way of life. If you intend to visit Orlando consider a week or two of your holiday in our town its the perfect 'unwind'. Mind you there's plenty to see and do in Fort Myers Beach enough to easily fill 2 or 3 weeks and the house is perfectly situated. You can easily walk (350yds) to the 7 mile beach great for walking and cycling. Fort Myers Beach is sandwiched between Lovers Key a State Park (voted one of the top 10 beaches in the USA) and the famed Sanibel Island which are only 15 mins drive. All the beaches have been noted for their cleanliness and safe water and are all considered some of the best beaches in Florida.
The nearest supermarket is only a mile away and at the end of our road is a 7/11 store selling most essential grocery items. There are many restaurants, bars and shops within 650 yds including the bustling Times Square. Also within walking distance are watersports at the beach including jet skis and banana boats. Tennis courts are just over a mile away as is a small water park. The nearest golf course is 3 miles away with a further 25 courses in the area.
A short walk from the house is the high speed 'Key West Express' catamaran for high-speed day trips to Key West.
On the door step is the Florida Everglades just 30 minutes drive away where you can hop on an Air Boat operated by local Indian tribes and go alligator and bird spotting and even enjoy an alligator burger!!
Also remember with temperatures in the 80sF (30Cs) during the winter months its a great alternative to our UK temperatures and traditionally the flight prices are more acceptable.

Flying - 30 mins away is the nearest airport Fort Myers Airport (RSW) which is served by all the major USA airlines
2 hours away is Tampa International Airport (TPA) served by all the major USA airlines plus a direct service by BA from Gatwick.
2.5 hours away is Miami International Airport (MIA) served by all the major USA airlines plus a direct service from Heathrow by American Airlines, BA and Virgin.
Orlando is 3 hours drive and Sanford is 3.5 hours drive to the villa.
This year most airlines have put up long haul flight prices and we would always suggest you shop around to find the cheapest price. Our suggestion, especially if you are flying into Orlando but spending the last part of your vacation in Fort Myers Beach, is to use airlines that fly into Orlando and out of Fort Myers airport (30 mins from our house) or vice versa. This will overcome the problem of driving over 3 hours on your last day back from Fort Myers Beach to Orlando.
Our suggestion is www.usair.com for best costed flights. This July 2011 for the above trip from London is: adult prices £735 and child prices £611, with Manchester flights being slightly higher. These costs were correct at 17/02/2011

“Lovely family house close to everything but quiet location” This is a lovely home. It is most certainly a home not just a rental. All home comforts are provided. Lots of kitchen utensils, towels and bedding. the upper deck ouside was a perfect place to sit and look a the great view of the inlet and boat dock. Its a very short walk to all the shops and resuarants of Times Square. However the Villa is super quiet with no noise at all. We went as a large group and had plently of room. My son even caught his first fish.
