About the home

A fully furnished LUXURY second floor apartment can sleep up to six adults, just 30-40 minutes from Alicanté/Murcia airport. Situated in the little village of Formentera near Rojales, Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja.

The apartment has one double bedroom with en-suite and balcony, one twin bedded room. There is also a family bathroom. The tiled living room is stylish and has a bed settee which can sleep another two adults. It has double doors leading onto a balcony overlooking view of the surrounding mountains.

If you get bored with the views (!) the apartment is equipped 32" Flat screen TV, iPod Docking station for your music and Playstation to keep you amused! Exclusive use for residents of the Brisas-del-Mar apartments is a communal swimming pool and solarium situated on the roof, giving you 360º views of mountains and surrounding area, without being overlooked and is quiet and relaxing.

There are various friendly Spanish and English restaurants along with a supermarket nearby for all your shopping needs. Just 10–15 minutes drive away we have blue flag beaches in the lovely town of Guardamar del Segura.

For the golfers amongst you there are many golf courses to choose from, one of the nearest is the La Finca course just 10 minutes away.

Water parks can be found in the local town of Torrevieja and Rojales. Also for a big night out the lively town of Torrevieja is just 15–20 minutes away. Blue flag beaches of Guardamar and a favourite of mine La Marina beach with sand dunes for privacy.

Bed linen is provided and some towels, but it is advisable to bring your own beach towels.

Conditions

• We require a full list of names of the clients renting the apartment.
• We require flight details for smooth change overs especially in peek season
• Insurance against illness, cancellation of bookings or any loss of belongings during your stay is recommended.
• A none-refundable deposit of £50 to secure any bookings,
• Remaining balance to be paid in full 4 weeks prior to arrival.
• Cleaning costs per booking €40, this can be left on the table at the apartment for the cleaner.
• We can accept payments by cheque or bank transfer in GBP or Euros.
• REFUNDABLE £50 security deposit required with final balance payment (separate cheque, sent back after holiday, this is for any damages or key loss).
• On the day of departure you will need to vacate the apartment by 10am

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca has over 100 kms of sandy beaches and rocky coves and many of the beaches have the coveted European Blue Flag signifying cleanliness and safe bathing.

The Costa Blanca is a beautiful region with mountains stretching along most of the coast. The A7 motorway (with some toll sections) stretches from north to south along the coast. The N-332 also runs parallel yet is free from charges although much slower as it passes through the middle of many towns.

The Costa Blanca has the best all year round temperatures. The climate is recognised as one of the best in the world by the World Health Organisation. Many people with arthritis come to the Costa Blanca and within days feel much better. In the winter months the Costa Blanca is lucky enough to have nearly as many sunny days as in the summertime.

The Formentera del Segura area

Formentera del Segura is a small village close to Benijofar and Rojales in the Vega Baja (low fertile valley) region of the southern Costa Blanca, Spain, in the Alicante province. Formentera del Segura sits on the banks of the River Segura and the river has been very important in the survival of the village.

Formentera del Segura has its share of fiestas and celebrations, however there is one unique to Formentera - “The Day of the Bicycle”, in which many of the villagers take part in a race to celebrate the past and present “brotherhood of the people of the village”. The Day of the Bicycle takes place in May. In Formentera del Segura May is known as “The Month of Flowers” and there are many celebrations including a grand procession in honour of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception.

A major celebration takes place in August (the last week of the month), to pay tribute to the patron saints of the village San Miguel (Saint Michael) and San Roque, culminating in “The Day of the Sardine and Wine”.

Formentera del Segura has a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops and a pleasant village square (plaza) where the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento) can be found along with the traditional fountain.

Separated from the main village is another more modern area known as “Los Palacios” (the palaces).

Formentera del Segura is also close to the Parque Natural de La Mata y Torrevieja, a huge natural park area with many scenic walks and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Also nearby are the cave dwellings at Rojales and the famous Shell House – both worth a visit if you are in the area.

Near by Torrevieja, is a typical Spanish town which not only has some good beaches, it also has an excellent street market every Friday morning and some brilliant shops, bars and restaurants. There's also some more good beaches south of Torrevieja at Cabo Roig and La Zenia and if you go a few minutes north of Torrevieja, you'll find the excellent beaches of La Mata, (which is also called Torrelamata) and Guardamar del Segura, both also win the Blue flag awards every year for their cleanliness, safety and facilities etc.

“Great holiday!” We had a lovely holiday at the apartment, it's perfectly located for exploring this part of Spain with lots of Spanish towns and villages just a short car ride away. There were lots of really nice, clean beaches nearby. Our favourite beach was Santa Pola which also had a fantastic fish market on the quayside. The rooftop pool was also great for cooling off after a day's exploring - lovely warm temperature and we were the only ones in it most of the time. Our friends visited us out there and there was ample room for four to stay in the apartment, the separate bathrooms were really handy. The kitchen was great for the nights when we bought fresh fish to cook in. There is a well stocked supermarket within a minutes walk and larger supermarkets just 5 minutes drive away. We ate out at a really nice restaurant in Benijofar which was walkable (around 30 minutes) so everyone could enjoy a few drinks. All round a lovely apartment for enjoying hot Spain.

“Perfectly situated for exploring the beatiful coastal towns of Costa Blanca.” My boyfriend and I have been to the Formentera apartment a couple of years ago and really enjoyed our stay. This time round, we invited a couple of our friends (also a couple) to come with us. It was a great holiday, relaxing, but not boring. There is so much to do and see in the area (make sure you hire a car, otherwise it could be a bit boring/expensive if you get taxis). The apartment itself is very nice, clean and spacious. It caters for all your needs (fridge, toaster, oven, grille, x 2 showers, bath, towels, sun loungers, parasols, playstation, TV, iPod speaker etc etc! The pool on the roof is always deserted and presents a great early morning swim opportunity (it can get pretty hot in the afternoons). Overall, a lovely place in a peaceful village near some stunning beaches and buzzing seaside towns.

“Loved It” Lovely accomodation, clean, tidy, spacious, everything you need including towls and sun loungers. Supermarket just a stones throw away. Two bars underneath but this shouldn't put you off as we had no disturbances at all whilst visiting. Friendly bar staff and reasonably priced, 2 Euros for a pint of San Miguel!! Great location for many beaches but I would recommend that you hire a car. Many places to eat just a 10 minute walk down the road to Benijofar & Rojales. Ranges from Mexican, Italian, Chineese and Tapas. Really enjoyed our stay and I hope you do to.
