Fully furnished first floor apartment can sleep up to six adults, just 30-40 minutes from Alicanté/Murcia airport. Situated in the little village of Formentera near Rojales, Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja.

This property is situated in a friendly area, close to all facilities with a playground close by.

It is ideal for families with water parks and plenty of activities. A 10-15 minute drive (7.9km) to the blue flag beaches of Guardamar.

The well furnished lounge/diner contains a bed settee which can sleep a further two adults and leads onto a balcony with table and chairs looking out over the village.

There is a lift from the underground carpark to the 4th floor roof garden and pool enabling people with mobility problems to access all areas.

The large roof garden has seating areas with tables and benches toilets and a BBQ area. It is a great place for relaxing with views to the mountains and surrounding villages. The pool is always sparkling clean and has it's own showers and room around for sunloungers to do some serious sunbathing.

A Welcome Pack can be arranged should you be arriving on a late flight [ local shops tend to close at 21.00 ]

Welcome pack 1 = Tea- Coffee- Sugar- Water- Orange Juice- Milk -Bread- Butter. = 15Euros

Welcome pack 2 = as above but including Biscuits- Jam- Crisps- 1Bottle white/red wine - 4 Cans Lager. = 20Euros

If you require any extras to the above just let us know.

- Bed linen and towels are provided but it is advisable to bring your own beach towels.

- We need flight details to ensure that you are met at the apartment at the appropriate time.

- A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to secure a booking.

- Remaining balance to be paid in full 4 weeks prior to arrival.

- We can accept payment by cheque or bank transfer in GBP or Euros.

- Cleaning and laundry costs are 40Euros per booking and can be left in the apartment for the cleaners.

- Refundable £50 security deposit required for any damages - lost keys. This will be sent back after holiday.

- If the apartment is going to be occupied following your departure it may be necessary to ask you to vacate by 10am to allow for cleaning/linen change. Otherwise you can leave at your convenience.

Formentera Del Segura

The village itself has numerous bars/restaurants and the village square is an ideal place to meet the locals on a warm night with a cabin bar serving drinks into the early hours.

There are interesting local spanish shops in the village [ the butchers has a settee where the ladies sit and chat whilst their meat is being prepared] but there is also a well stocked supermarket less than 5 mins. walk from the apartment. There are also larger supermarkets [Aldi etc.] a 15 min walk away along the river and there are local weekly markets selling fresh fruit and veg. as well as lots of other local goods and clothing.

Formentera market is at the end of your street and takes place on Monday. Benijofar is on Tuesday and is a 15 min. walk through the orange groves and Rohales market is Thursday and is more of a 30 min. walk but worth the time as there is lots to see in Rohales - cave dwellings and the shell house - and many bars and restaurants to break up the journey.

If you have a car you can drive to Guardamar about 6km. away with its beautiful blue flag beaches and lovely parks and marina. In the early evening there is a fun fair here for the children and a night market as well as a huge variety of restaurants offering dishes from all over the world.

There always seems to be a Fiesta or Festival somewhere in this area. Formentera's main one is at the end of August - Rohales the end of June and into July and Guardamar is in February. If you happen to be around at the right time expect to see wonderful processions with decorated floats involving most of the local people from grandfathers to babes in arms- all dressed in colourful costumes. Don't intend going to bed early though because the music and fireworks tend to go on into the small hours.

For a quieter time a drive inland towards the mountains will take you through orange and lemon groves to find lovely medieval towns and moorish villages with stunning historic churches and architecture.

This area of Spain is not only one of the healthiest in the world due largely to the salt lakes - climate and clean air - but it also has some of the finest beaches. About 12km south along the coast is Torrieveja which not only has great beaches and watersports but also has all the exciting nightlife you could want. About the same distance going north up the coast is Santa Paula which also has watersports and lovely sands with plenty of bars on the beach.

If golf is your sport there are at least 7 good courses nearby - La Finca is 10mins. from Formentera and La Marquesa Golf and Country club is 4km away.

Alicante and Murcia airports are both convenient for Formentera each being only approx 35mins away which gives plenty of choice for cheap flights/car hire.

"Modern two bedroomed well equipped apartment in Spanish Village"

My friend and I really enjoyed our holiday in September. The apartment is modern, well equiped and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony for breakfast and often at lunch time and early evening.
We hired a car from the airport and explored some of the area. We particularly liked Guadamar which has plenty of nice restaurants and bars, good beaches, evening market and pleasant open spaces.
Lots of good markets and interesting villages in the surrounding area. There is a small market once a week in the village which also has restaurants and bars and a very nice square which is frequented by locals and a few visitors .
There is a nice rooftop pool and garden and we enjoyed sunbathing up there mid afternoon on a number of occasions.

"Great place for all the family, we're looking forward to going back soon!"

Our whole family really enjoyed our stay, the apartment is nice and new and clean and was a good size for us 4 and it's got everything you could need for a week or two, including all the cooking, washing and bedding a family with young children can't survive without, plus a roof top pool and BBQ area if you can't be bothered to venture out! There's a well stocked supermarket and bar with children's play area a short walk round the corner and a lovely peaceful walk from the apartment among lemon and orange trees etc upto a nearby village..can't remember the name but it had some fab cafes and market.

The apartment is well located on a quiet street in a lovely Spanish village. There is a children's play area within view of the balcony and the village has some surprisingly good restaurants and bars for its size, all very welcoming of us and our little ones (2 and 4). Within a short drive is the wonderful small town of Guademar with it's abundance of restaurants (you must try Juan's if you go!) a marina, a beach and a nearby park, all perfect for the kids. I'd recommend a car to get to all the local beaches and markets etc. It's only about 40mins drive to the airport too, so door to door it took us about 4hours to get there (we live 30mins from East Midlands). This is definitely on our hit list as a regular place to go whilst our children are little, it's so nice, easy and convenient!
