Set in beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, Hare Lodge is tucked away down a quiet country lane yet only a short distance to Gloucester, Cheltenham & The Cotswolds. Perfect for exploring the county and for Cheltenham Festival Racing Accommodation

Self contained accommodation set in the grounds of our 500 year old Grade 2 listed house. Accommodation consists of an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area, a double bedroom, shower room and outside seating area. Comfortably accommodates 2 people - Sofa bed can accommodate extra guests with prior arrangement. Own key/entrance. Free Parking.

Public transport at top of lane.

Public transport (train/bus) available from airports Bristol (BRS) & Birmingham (BHX) to Gloucester.

The village is 4 miles from Gloucester where taxis are readily available.

Just 10 miles from Junction 12 of the M5.

Riverside Walks. Access to Forest of Dean and Cheltenham for shopping/racing. Excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. 5 miles from Rugby World Cup 2015 venue Kingsholm Stadium.

Hare Lodge, so named due to its riverside location and the connection with the River Severn's tidal bore. Moongazing Hares are popular in many cultures, including Celtic, Chinese, Japanese and Mexican. Moongazing hares have long been associated with the moon, which in turn is responsible for the tidal effects of the nearby River Severn

VIEW THE SEVERN BORE

The village boasts one of the best viewing points for the Severn Bore - one of Britain's few truly spectacular natural phenomena. It is a large surge wave that can be seen in the estuary of the River Severn, where the tidal range is the 2nd highest in the world, being as much as 50 feet.

Just 13 miles from Cheltenham racecourse, an ideal location for those who enjoy a flutter

"Comfortable and convenient"
