Forest of Dean
The location of Dean Hall is very convenient for exploring the woods and paths of the Forest of Dean, a walkers' and cyclists' paradise; and for taking advantage of the wide variety of attractions to be found in the area – water sports on the nearby Severn, or the Wye a little further away; or visiting some of the historic sites and buildings in easy reach for a day's outing – Symond's Yat, a famous beauty spot on the Wye, and the magnificent ruins of Tintern Abbey further downstream; Offa's Dyke Path and the Border castles or, to the East, the lovely old cities of Gloucester and Worcester, perhaps taking in a little of the Cotswolds beyond. Almost on the doorstep is the attractive Georgian village of Newnham-on-Severn which provides local shopping.
