The Central England/Cotswolds region
The Royal Forest of Dean and Wye Valley is 27,000 acres of forestry with the River Wye running through it. The river Wye and Forest of Dean is one of the most scenic places in the UK. The activity options are endless, including both coarse and game fishing, pleasure cruises or why not hire a canoe or kayak or bring your own. Take time to relax and enjoy a picnic by one of our beautiful lakes. There are fantastic places to sit at Cannop Ponds and Mallard's Pike.
If you fancy a gentle stroll or have a pushchair or wheelchair there is a route to suit. Should you fancy upping the pace, there are some real challenges including Offa's Dyke National Trail or Wye Valley Walk. Should a saddle be best bring your bike or hire one. Why not hire a moutain bike guide? With extensive knowledge of the area, they can show you some fantastic fimily ries, or for those brave enough the extremem routes for which Forest is famous.
There are lots and lots of wet weather activities too - please just ask when you call.
Enjoy bridle-ways, forest roads and trails on horseback. There are high wires , climbing towers, abseiling, rock climbing and zip wires all very close to the School Rooms.
Here are more ideas of things to try:
