Peacock Breaks’, Peacock Cottage, is situated in the small town of Cinderford offers a quaint self-catering holiday cottage nestled within the Forest of Dean in the Wye Valley. This makes it an ideal choice for short breaks at any time of the year. It is the perfect retreat for those who are wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday city life and relax in peaceful and picturesque surroundings.

The beautiful location of the cottage provides a vast environment for both walking and cycling on the many winding roads and woodland paths, whether it be on a perfect sunny morning or a crisp winter afternoon. Other activities you might be interested in include fishing, horse riding, golfing, canoeing, and bird watching and all of these are situated within walking distance from the holiday cottage making this the ideal destination for active outdoor holidays. Wildlife thrives in the forest and it is a great place to spot many different types of species such as dear, wild boar or peregrine falcons, perfect for those who can’t get enough of nature.

If you fancy a spot of shopping during your stay with us why not visit the historic town of Cheltenham which is less than 30 minutes away. It is famous for the Cheltenham Racecourse where races are a yearly occurrence and many people flock to the town during this time. There is also a large array of shops and amenities. Alternatively, there are many villages closer by which are worth a visit such as the beautifully situated market town of Ross-on-Wye overlooking the river Wye or Monmouth where there is a fantastic choice of pubs and restaurants, perfect for unwinding in after a long walk or cycle through the Forest.
