The Central England/Cotswolds region
The Wye Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Lodge is situated near the lower banks of the River Wye, in Gloucestershire and on the borders of Monmouthshire. This region has much to offer the walker, nature lover and those who would like to fish, canoe or bike ride.
It has excellent links to the M4 to London, and is within an hour's drive of Cardiff, Bristol and Cheltenham.
Forest of Dean
Brockweir is a small village with houses dating from the 16th century, and retains an unspoiled charm. It has a village pub and an award winning tea rooms selling local produce.
Tintern Abbey is within walking distance if you follow the course of the River along grassy banks and is on the Offas Dyke trail.
The area is stunningly beautiful with forest walks, pastures and the historic town of Monmouth and Chepstow castles close by.
