"Superb, well furnished, clean & warm accommodation in a good location."

From the minute we booked our stay the owners were extremely helpful, even sent us guidebooks prior to our stay. The lodge has under floor heating, recently furnished with everything of high quality. Fantastic kitchen with huge fridge, oven & 2 microwaves. Top quality bed linen with all 3 room having en suite + a separate toilet downstairs. We visited over new year so weather not suitable for us to take advantage of the garden with it's decking etc. In a lovely location opposite a wood & not far from Symonds Yat. We were 3 mature couples all of us were impressed..Hope to return in the no too distant furutre!

"Fantastic, comfortable and well equipped luxury in an ideal location"

We were really very happy with the high standard of the accommodation and only a few strides from the forest it was very handy for walks and was great to come back to relax in front of the roaring log fire. It was a fantastic 2 weeks and we are really looking forward to returning, hopefully very soon.
The only down side was having to go home. :-)

"By far the best place to stay in the Forest of Dean"

Myself and my partner booked Ellis lodge for 7 nights. We obviously didn't need 3 bedrooms but the price was absolutely brilliant and we thought why the hell not, luxury at its best. Every mod cons - under floor heating, automatic lights in the bathrooms, 2 microwaves, biggest comfiest sofa in the world, beautiful equipped kitchen, 2 big flat screen televisions in both the living room and kitchen/diner. As for the shower, you feel like a new woman after having one.

We have stayed in 3 other places in the Forest of Dean over the last 3 years and can honestly say this is the BEST accommodation by far. We didn't want to leave and are planning on another visit later on in the year.

The owners were VERY friendly and professional, and we had everything we needed and more during our stay.

We could go on and on with the positives but feel it should be tried out for yourself to fully appreciate the experience.
