The Old Farm Holiday Cottages
About the home
Situated on a small working farm between Ross-on-Wye (6 miles) and Gloucester (10 miles), it is ideally located for exploring this increasingly popular area. The beautiful May Hill National Trust Reserve is literally beside you and the Forest of Dean starts just ¼ mile away: Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Wye Valley are a short distance, and Hereford and the Cotswolds an easy day's excursion. Main supermarkets are 6 miles away, yet the local shop is very well stocked with everything from daily papers to homemade cakes.
When you arrive at the cottages you will find them clean, with fresh bed linen and towels provided. Your complimentary welcome tray will enable you to sit and have a cup of tea with home-made cake before unpacking your car. Fresh flowers and some of our free range eggs are also included.
The cottages are warm (full central heating included) and welcoming with a fire in the lounge provided in cottages with log burning stoves November to March (logs provided).
The kitchens are equipped with everything you could possibly want including a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine with tumble dryer. Lounges have a remote control colour television, video recorder, DVD and music centre. When the sun shines you will be able to sit outside in your own patio area where garden furniture and a barbeque are provided.
Children and well behaved dogs are most welcome in any of the cottages (please notify us at time of booking). We provide a paddock and woodland for you to exercise dogs on the farm and a large orchard play area with wendy house, sandpit, slide, swings and trampoline to exercise your children!
