"FIRST CLASS RETREAT IN BEAUTIFUL RURAL COUNTRYSIDE."

This was our third visit to Greenbanks and it most certainly won't be our last, as soon as we walked through the door we felt instantly at home so much so that we have already booked for next year. Carol and Barry are the perfect hosts and are always so welcoming. The accommodation is beautifully furnished to a very high standard and is always spotlessly clean. It's the thoughtful little touches like fresh eggs from the chickens, milk and wine in the fridge and toiletries in the bathroom including two new toothbrushes that makes Greenbanks unique. We really enjoy collecting fresh eggs from the chickens and fresh vegetables from the garden we never tire of it.Greenbanks is so nice to come back to at the end of the day and there is nowhere else we would rather stay. Thanks once again to you both for helping us have a lovely holiday and we look forward to seeing you again next year.

It was lovely to see you both again it is always nice to welcome returning guests back to Greenbanks, its like having friends to stay. You certainly made the most of your 2 week stay, all the walking you done, visiting the beach and I still can't believe the size of the fish you were catching at the local lakes, they were enormous. Thank you for taking the time to write us such a lovely review. We are already counting the days to your next visit. Looking forward to seeing you next year. Best wishes Barry and Carol

"A wonderful relaxing retreat"

Greenbanks is an ideal holiday retreat for exploring the New forest, The accommodation is equipped and furnished to a very high standard. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The moment we arrived and opened the door we knew that we had made an excellent decision in booking Greenbanks. Fresh Eggs and milk were awaiting our arrival which was a very nice welcome and fresh eggs were supplied throughout our stay. Carol and Barry are perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble, toiletries were also supplied should we had forgotten ours. The place was spotlessly clean with wonderful views from all the windows and the balcony. We throughly enjoyed eating our meals on the balcony whilst taking in the great countryside views and sitting around the pond watching the Ducks. Although the accommodation is attached to the owners house we had perfect privacy. Carol had even supplied instructions for local walks within the welcome folder together with handy laminates to take out whilst walking. I would fully recommend Greenbanks. If you want a relaxing tranquil break, don't hesitate, book Greenbanks, you won't be disappointed! We had a great holiday and hope to holiday here again.

Thank you for taking the time to write our review, it was very kind of you. We loved having you here and look forward to welcoming you back one day. Carol

"Great Holiday Retreat"

We arrived with hungry bellies to be greeted by a chocolate bunny that carol left out, shortly to have it devoured before we heading out to sainsburys to prepare for the week ahead. The property itself felt brand new, wasn't a mark anywhere to be seen.. I messaged carol prior to the arrival date asking for anything in particular we should be taking with the response of yourself would be the most important thing, she wasn't lying, there were toothbrushes waiting, towels, even shower gel and toothpaste. The property was amazing. We managed to get quite a lot done in the 5 days we stayed; Salisbury is a must for visiting, they have amazing markets and a large amount of tucked away shops, not to mention the Cathedral! Lyndhurst was next on the list, there wasn't too much to do here, we got some amazing ice cream and shortly moved onto the wildlife park that features deer, otters even some wolves (definitely a must for families). 'Go ape' is quite close, a 35 minute drive just off of ringwood, definitely something to experience; climbing up pine trees and crossing large voids of rickety bridges, the country park also features many other activities that can keep you busy all day. All in all, we would definately be booking greenbanks again in the future, can't wait to go back!

I am so glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves, you made me feel exhausted just hearing about all your activities. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us and so quickly!!! you must have written it on your way home... It was lovely to meet you both and I look forward to welcoming you to Greenbanks again one day. Thank you Carol

"Perfect weekend for some R&R!"

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a lovely stay at Greenbanks whilst celebrating my birthday. As soon as we got there we were greeted with a warm welcome from Carol, she showed us around the apartment which was warm, cosy and immaculately presented, we couldn't have asked for anything better. Also the small touches such as fresh eggs, milk and chocolates on the bedside table were very much appreciated. The apartment is well equipped with everything you would need for a short stay, the big bath was also wonderful for a nice soak. It was a shame that we couldn't get much use of the large balcony as the weather was too cold to sit outside, the surroundings are beautiful and sipping a glass of wine on a summers evening would be perfect. The only small problem we had was finding something to do around the local area at this time of the year, mostly our own fault as we didn't really take this into consideration when planning our stay. However after having a look on Trip Advisor we found an Owl and Reptile Sanctuary about a 30min drive away which was an enjoyable day out. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Greenbanks, we wanted a weekend to relax and unwind in a comfortable, peaceful environment and that's exactly what we got! We would love to return in the summer to make the most of what the New Forest has to offer. Thank you again :-)

I am glad to hear you had a nice relaxing stay at Greenbanks. Please feel free to ask for ideas of what to do if you haven't planned anything, there are always lots of walks and cycle rides around our village and in the New Forest for you to enjoy just wrap up warm. Walking in the forest at this time of year can be ideal for seeing the dear, donkeys, cattle and ponies all roaming about and of course there are lots of lovely pubs and restaurants around for a nice warming drink or a meal afterwards. Thank you for taking the time to right your review and so quickly it was very kind of you. I look forward to welcoming you again one day. I am glad you had an enjoyable and relaxing birthday. Best wishes to you both. Carol

"Super relaxing stay near New Forest"

We booked two nights at Greenbanks for a relaxing weekend away. The accommodation itself was spotless and had a very homely, cosy feeling which was just what we were after. The place is split level with the kitchen on the lower floor, spacious bedroom with en suite and large lounge and balcony. Really couldn't have asked for anything more, a lovely place to go recharge your batteries, highly recommended.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and managed to unwind. It was really nice to meet you both. Thank you once again Carol

"Home away from home"

We stayed at Greenbanks on Halloween weekend and had a wonderful weekend. The annex is pristine and Carol is a welcome host with thoughtful touches. Including milk in the fridge, fresh eggs from the hen and tea and coffee facilities all there on arrival. Everything is modern and beautifully presented. The bed is so comfortable and the bath and shower facilities are what you might expect at a luxurious hotel! We were lucky to have the warmest Halloween ever on our trip so got to enjoy the balcony in the evening with the local fireworks display in perfect view. The local pub is within a five minute walk and serves great food. New Forest landscape is within a 20 minute drive and the closest town Fordingbridge only about . I'd highly recommend for couples looking for cosy weekend away!

You certainly had a full stay with pumpkin lanterns on the balcony for Halloween and watching fire works the following evening, almost your own private show. I am glad you had a nice relaxing stay. Thank you so much for leaving us a wonderful review and bringing to our attention the light problem with the blind in the bedroom. The curtains have now been adjusted to pull fully, not just for decoration, so you will be able to lay in without the light waking you up. Thank you once again Carol

"Great location, excellent quality accommodation"

The accommodation was excellent, all looked brand new and very clean. The equipment was equally new and everything we needed was there. The little extras like the toothbrushes, shampoo, and the milk and eggs made a big difference. The balcony has great views, overlooking fields and horses, and was well used to enjoy a drink and the peace and quiet. Thoroughly recommended!

Thank you for your kind review. It is really peaceful on the balcony, you can sit, relax and let the world go by, perfect to unwind and enjoy the lovely weather, I am glad you enjoyed your stay.
