My family and I had a lovely stay at the Swallows. The property had all that we needed, clean and comfortable. The children enjoyed staying in the bunk beds and having regular visits from Molly the dog. The pond is amazing especially with the swallows coming around. The location was great for us and allowed us to enjoy several days out without having too far with the children.
We really appreciated the bread and milk that was there on our arrival, a cup of tea was definitely needed after a hot car journey. Value for money.
Thank you very much for your review. Hope to see you all again.Best Regards, Viv

We had a lovely stay in Swallows Cottage. It was well equipped with everything you need and the welcome basket of tea, biscuits, bread etc was great. There is a lovely view from the living room which was wonderful to wake up to. Viv was very friendly and would have been very happy to help if we needed anything extra. And at £65 per night it really is excellent value for money. I'm sure we'll be visiting again.
Dear Emma and family,

"Wonderful place to stay"
Had a great holiday at the Swallows Cottage. The owners who live in the same grounds as the cottage, Viv and John, made us feel at home straight away. Some really nice touches such as a welcome pack of essentials in case you had not been able to get to a shop such as tea, milk, loaf of bread, butter, biscuits, etc., all in with the price of the rental. The cottage itself is more substantial than one may think from the pictures and it had everything you would need for a short or long stay such as a good flat screen TV with Freeview. Lots of holiday information on the area was available within the cottage. The sleeping arrangements were one bedroom with a double bed and one with bunk beds and the furniture throughout was very good. The outside surroundings of rolling hills were beautiful and the cottage had a nice wooden patio area where you could sit out with a drink in the evening watching the lovely sunsets. There is so much to see and do from this base I did not think so many places would be so near, for example Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton, Ringwood, Christchurch and many other places all within a short drive. The cottage is in Dorset but also on the border of Hampshire and Wiltshire too. The nearest medium sized town is Fordingbridge about 4 miles away which has everything you would need including several pubs that do meals and an excellent small museum with very enthusiastic staff ! There is a village called Alderholt even nearer which also has a pub again this does excellent meals. For anyone who enjoys fishing then this is a great location and John the owner can recommend places to fish around and about. There were one or two things that I thought could be improved and a couple of small minor faults which I mentioned to the owners and they said these would be sorted out straight away. All in all a tremendous few days, comfortable cottage and a great location, I would firmly recommend this as an ideal holiday destination.
