Welcome to La Maison Combel.

This house is owned privately by a Dutch family. Completed in 2005, it is newly decorated and has a wealth of luxury facilities. We have welcomed many guests of all nationalities and their overall average report rate of a 9.6 is a glowing testimonial to the facilities!

The owners speak Dutch, English, German and French.

Ground floor living room spacious and bright, carefully decorated (new) 2 double sliding doors to the terraces. 2 big leather sofas. Canal + TV, Fast wireless internet access in and around the House.

In the first bedroom 2 Ikea beds and mattresses . Bedroom with built in closets.

In the second bedroom 2 Ikea beds and mattresses. Bedroom with sliding cabinets.

In the third bedroom 2 Ikea beds and mattresses. Bedroom with sliding cabinets.

In the bathroom: bath, toilet and double sink. Completely tiled.

There is an additional toilet area next to the toilet in the bathroom. Equipped with towel dryer.

In the second bathroom spacious walk-in shower with washbasin and towel dryer.

Leight kitchen with all kitchen equipment. Fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, Senseo coffee machine, toaster and kettle. In the garage is a second fridge/freezer.

Swimming pool 9.5 x 4.0 x 1.50 meters. Spacious terrace. Light salt water system. Incl. heated pool 24 degrees. Lighting. Cleaning with Zodiac robot. Very secure with little children. The swimming pool is equipped with a STAINLESS STEEL railing on the stairs (safe for children and elderly).

Location and access: La Maison Al Combel is truly uniquely situated. Cahors is easy to reach via the Autoroute Paris-Toulouse. Al Combel is accessible on a day's drive from Amsterdam (1050 km/9-10 hours). 10 minutes from the toll road A20 Limoges-Toulouse exit 58 Cahors-Sud, just 15 minutes from the Centre of Cahors. If you choose to come by airplane, the easiest connection is to fly to Toulouse Blagnac airport. From there it is just a 45 minute drive towards Cahors via the A20. The major retailers Carrefour and e.Leclerc are located in Cahors-Sud and also in Lalbenque (Carrefour). The House is located 15 km south of Cahors and the Lot. Caussade is 20 km. This is called Quercy Blanc. It is a hilly wooded area of limestone. Numerous small villages and old churches.

La Maison Al Combel is very complete and luxurious equipped and has high quality furnishings. The House was built in 2005 and named after the place (au lieu dit) where it is located. The Dutch owners live 5 kilometres away (making communication easy). The House and grounds (9,000 m2) are located in the hamlet of Escazals (25 inhabitants) in the municipality of Fontanes. There are some new-build houses located on very large lots (wood) and a number of old houses in the style of the region. Al Combel is a detached cottage situated on a former truffle field, but not isolated location, bordering the forest and on the South side truffle fields with old oak trees. In the immediate vicinity of the House is plenty of local wildlife, the animals come up to the House during wintertime. Al Combel is built as the French like to have it themselves. Modern, practical but decorated with care (new) with a high level of quality. The House is extremely family-and child-friendly.

The House has a spacious living room, open kitchen, double sliding doors to the very spacious tiled exterior terraces. A fully equipped modern kitchen has all appliances (fridge, freezer, dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, Senseo coffee machine and tea maker). Canal + nl with all international channels and ADSL internet access are included. There are 3 double bedrooms. Ikea beds in two bedrooms (2 x 0.90 x 2.20 m) and in the third bedroom IKEA Beds (2 x 0.90 x 2.00 m). In the living room there is a sofa bed for 2 persons (IKEA Karlanda) so the House can accommodate up with 8 people. There are two bathrooms (1 with bath), a 2nd toilet and Towel dryer.

In addition, the shower room has a spacious shower (also suitable for the disabled) and a sink. In addition there is a separate toilet area. In the very spacious garage are a Whirlpool washing machine and dryer. The House is equipped with a comfortable electric under floor heating. Around the House are tiled terraces built, total 75 m2, of which 15 m2 indoor and 25 m2 with pergola. There is a luxury Weber Q220 (gas) BBQ available. The swimming pool (9.00/9.50 x 4.00 x 1.50 m) is separate from the House with a large tiled terrace ca. 55 m2. The pool has a Romanesque staircase with stainless steel handrail so that children and the elderly can get safely in and out of the pool. The pool is approx. 1.60 m deep. It is equipped with a light salt water system, which is very much better than chlorine. The pool can be quickly covered with a roldek (safe!).

Rental includes heated swimming pool (Zodiac heat exchanger) set to 24 degrees. The pool can be cleaned using an automatic robot. The pool is checked and cleaned weekly (normally at weekends). The swimming pool is open from early April until mid-November. In the House is everything for a relaxing holiday: the newest books include Ludlum, David Baldacci, Nina French, etc., DVDs and CDs. Upon arrival they all basic facilities: a bottle of Red Cahors wine, Eau de Source, all detergents, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper and kitchen rolls, garbage bags, pepper, salt, sugar, tea, oil and vinegar. In short, in Dutch, we call it a party!

The Midi-Pyrénées region

Lots of hiking trails (Grande Randonne) and biking possibilities in the immediate vicinity. A map with routes is present). Para-sailing in Douelle, parachuting and tennis in Fontanes. Cycling/mountain biking. Canoeing, kayaking or fishing on the Lot or Cele. There are numerous day and night markets and festivities in the villages in the immediate vicinity.

In the season wine festivals and flea markets and vide-greniers. 5 km from Al Combel the wine domain of Haute-Serre in Cieurac. at the Office de Tourisme in Cahors on the Boulevard Gambetta is all up-to-date information available. There is a comprehensive guide available.

Fontanes

In Fontanes Centre is a small bakery/supermarket/bar/restaurant located at ca. 1.5 km. Here is still every day bread baked. The French from the entire environment come here from 08.00 (also on Sunday!) to get their bread. 7 km In Lalbenque. are all facilities such as a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, butcher and 2 ATMs. In Cahors large supermarkets as Carrefour and Lidl.

On route N820 direction Montauban is widely fruit sold: yellow melons, peaches, nectarines and apples. In the direct surrounding picturesque pigeonniers (pigeons lifting) and stone shepherds ' huts (caselles). Fontanes is located on the border of the nature park "Causses". Also delicious restaurants, delicious food and drink at affordable prices.
