Bright, quiet and comfortable gite along a riverside in a well preserved country side. Between Fontainebleau forest and the first Burgundy hills. 85 km South of Paris, half way between the Loire Valley and the Champagne region.
A gite for 5 people with 3 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms each with its own toilet, living room with windows on 3 of its 4 walls, L shape leather sofa, and eat in kitchen. Private loundry space.

We rent our Gué from Saturdays 4 pm to Saturdays 10 am.
The Paris/Ile de France region
Paris/ile de France is the number one travelled region in France, thanks to its majors touristic sites such as for exemple Paris, Château de Versailles, Fontainebleau Forest, and Disney land,
However its border regions such as Champagne, Burgundy and Loire Valley are also extremely popular, and can easely be reached via a day trip starting from our village of Thoury Ferottes.
The Fontainebleau area
Fontainebleau forest is one the most visited site of the Fontainebleau. Worldly reknown for its convivial but still challenging bouldering sites, Fontainebleau is primarily a huge forest 60 km from Paris center that combines historical royal design, splendid natural sites, and well preserved wild life.
Thoury Ferottes is a small village, set in the rolling plains and pastures of the Seine Valley, near Fontainebleau Forest.

We had a very nice stay in this small but cosy gite. The children enjoyd the garden and loved the animals; horses, dog and sheep, of Sylvie, the owner of the castle and gite. We loved the garden also for the barbeque. The gite le Gue is very light and has a lovley view. Gite the Loft has a lot of space, suitable for a familiy with children. The surrounding is rural but pleasent. We visited the Fontainebleau woods severel times. Just a 20/30 minutes ride with lots of possibilities for climbing and hiking. Sylvie recommend us more nice hikes and places of interest, but one week is to short to visit them all! The gite is an ideal place for a relaxed stay. |
