A lovely and finely decorated duplex penthouse, ideal for couples, enjoys a spectacular front-view of the lagoon and views of the beautiful pristine rainforest covered hill approximately 200 meters far on its back. Situated on the second floor of a beautiful resort in the margins of Lagoa da Conceicao, it offers two external (children and adult) shared pools, a heated pool, sauna and steam, clay tennis courts and a large lawn. There is also a Marina from which to rent boats for daily trips. A kayak will be also available free of charge for guests to enjoy the magnificent lagoon, where eagles, egrets, turtles, seagulls and other species abound.

This fine apartment has been recently refurbished. Sliding glass patio doors lead to a spacious and mediterranean style terrace with benches, a hammock, a fountain, night lights and chairs to enable relaxation overlooking the lagoon and surrounding hills. The kitchen area has fitted cupboards and spacious worktops, cooker, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and various other appliances. The en suite bedroom, also with a lagoon view and a private balcony, has a queen-size bed and a Mediterranean style ofuro. The second bedroom/office also has a front-view to the lagoon, with a fold out double bed, air conditioning, a computer with broadband internet, telephone and a spacious fitted wardrobe. A maid is also available free of charge five times a week to do the cleaning and laundry.

In an excellent location away from the traffic yet only less than 10min from sandy beaches, dunes, cafes, restaurants and shops. Ideal to switch off and relax, yet to be close to all activities. At the village centre visitors can also arrange boat trips, windsurfing, hiking, scuba diving/snorkelling and island tours.

The Southern Brazil / Santa Catarina region

Florianopolis is a beautiful island in the south of Brazil (Santa Catarina), where many remarkable features converge to make this one of those world “jewels”.

About the size of Andorra Country, this island is naturally blessed with dozens of virgin beaches, rain-forested hills and many pristine landscapes. It is has a well organized urban centre with the highest quality of life in Brazil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florianopolis, chosen as the 10th more dynamic city by the Newsweek magazine in 2006), good services, several universities and a historic centre with a charming and lively public market.

The weather is one of the mildest in the world, with nice and sunny summers and temperate winters. Its population is composed mostly by middle class, with the higher literacy level in the country, and a local rich culture descendent from the blend of its Portuguese, Italian and German immigrants.

Lying in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the island is also renowned for its different beaches, amazing sunsets and sunrises...Some are trendy and busy, some are quiet and secluded, some are picturesque, some are suited for families, some for couples; there is a choice for everybody. Hikers are rewarded with spectacular views of mountains, beaches, lakes and forest.

Further a field, day trips from Florianopolis can include a visit to the stunning mountain region of Urubici, whale watching trips in September and October, water rafting in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, visits to fisherman villages around, small fortresses from the colonization period, amongst others. Florianopolis / Lagoa da Conceicao area

One of the main post-cards of the island is ‘Lagoa da Conceição’ area, where the controlled urban development is especially well integrated with the spectacular scenery of the lagoon, its surrounding pristine mountains of rainforest and sand dunes.

Lagoa da Conceicao village boasts with many good, well known restaurants (Mexican, Spanish, Lebanese, Japanese, Thai, Italian and local cuisine), open day and night. Some are trendy, others are simple and laid back. Local shops, newsagents, mini supermarkets, cafes also concentrate in the village centre, located at about 10 minutes from the resort. Night life is lively, safe and stylish in Lagoa.

Water sports are another allure of Lagoa da Conceicao. Windsurfing, canoeing, sailing and boat trips can all be arranged. Jogging along the lagoon margins, enjoying the views, sun bathing, hiking, paragliding, sailing, shopping, or having a coffee outside are just some of the options you can have in the area.

How to get there

The most frequent routes are to Sao Paulo (GRU) and Rio de Janeiro Airports and from those to Florianopolis Airport. The airport is only some 20-30 minutes away from the resort. Guests can either take a taxi at the airport (fares should be no more than 15 Euros) or rent a car (a car is advisable to visit the different landscapes of the island).

This is a comfortable and well decorated duplex penthouse apartment. The living room opens on to terrace (which has a hammock, benches and external lights) with excellent views of Lagoa da Conceicao and surrounding hills. It has a comfortable 5-6 seat sofa for you to relax on, a coffee table and a fireplace. The dining table seats up to 6 and the view can been enjoyed while dining inside or on the terrace. The en suite Double Bedroom has a queen sized bed, a private bathroom and balcony. The American queen-size mattress is anti-allergic and ergonomic. The second bedroom has a double sofa-bed, chests with ample drawers, a spacious 5 doors wardrobe and a large desk with a computer, internet access and a lagoon view. There is a second bathroom with a fitted wardrobe, shower and WC. The kitchen is fully equipped.

We have put a lot of energy into creating a nice atmosphere with high quality finishing. We hope to find like minded people who will cherish our home as much as we do. Heating and electricity, broadband Internet, cleaning and local telephone calls are all included in the price.

- To ensure nice moments of relaxation and rest to all residents, silence rules must be followed, especially from 10pm to 8am.
- Our maximum number of guest is 4 (two couples, or a couple with up to 2 children)

- A deposit of 30% is required to secure booking. The balance can be paid two weeks prior to departure.
