This apartment is set in Fattoria Pagnana, a quiet and relaxing residence in the heart of Tuscany only 15 Km from Florence surrounded by vineyards and olive groves just outside the village of Rignano sull’Arno.

In the heart of Chianti you can admire the soft Tuscan hills, the slow flow of the River Arno; the monasteries, parish churches, villas and castles of ancient and noble Florentine families.

You can feel the Renaissance culture which mixes together with the tranquillity of the countryside while the vineyards and the olive-tree groves show proof of men’s work on the land.

The Tuscany region

Tuscany is known for its landscapes and its artistic legacy.
Six Tuscan localities have been made UNESCO protected sites: the historical centre of Florence (1982), the historical centre of Siena (1995), the square of the Cathedral of Pisa (1987), the historical centre of San Gimignano (1990), the historical centre of Pienza (1996) and the Val d'Orcia (2004).

The long history of this region through the Etruscan, Roman and medieval time up to the renaissance have done of Tuscany one of the best and interesting countries to visit in Italy.

You can find nice sea places on the coast as well as wonderful areas as Chianti,Val d'Elsa, Valdarno in the country together with superlative art cities as Florence or Siena. The climate is mild and pleasant most of the year.

Florence / Rignano sull'Arno area

Rignano sull'Arno is located near Florence, about 15 Km along the wine road through the Florentine hills.

Fattoria Pagnana is only 2 km. from Rignano sull'Arno where you can find a post office, bank, chemist, railway station, shops and a supermarket. 2 km. from the estate you can find an out-let with Fendi, Loewe, Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, Celine, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and more griffes!

How to get there

Pagnana country cottages are only 15 km from Florence
From Rome:
Autostrada (Highway)AUTOSOLE -A1- Exit "Incisa". Follow signs for Pontassieve, Leccio, S.Clemente, Rignano sull'Arno, Bombone, Pagnana.
From Pisa Airport:
After exiting the airport follow the blue signs for "Firenze" (Florence). Ignore the green autostrada sign for Firenze. Continue along this highway for approximately 70 km where you will follow a motorway sign "A1-Roma" until the "Firenze Sud" exit. Follow signs for Bagno a Ripoli, Vallina, Rosano, Volognano, Torri, Pagnana.
From Milan:
Autostrada (Highway)AUTOSOLE -A1- Exit "Firenze Sud". Follow signs for Bagno a Ripoli, Vallina, Rosano, Volognano, Torri, Pagnana.
By Train:
There are many connections from the Firenze - "S.M. Novella" train station for the train station of Rignano.

For the reservation of the apartment, we kindly ask you to pay 30% of the total amount either by bank transfer or credit card.
The balance will follow 14 days before arrival.

"We had a really relaxing time at Fattoria Pagnana. My son, a classics graduate had never been to Florence, and his Javanes wife were able to get over from Hong Kong and so we booked a stay to both relax and sight-see. Trips to Arrezo, Pisa, Lucca, and of course Florence were enjoyable and the estate (complete with friendly wine tasting etc) on top of a hill 30 minutes from Florence made an excellent base…..especially with a good train service nearby to avoid parking in the city. The swimming pool always provides a way to relax at the end of a hot day. Many happy memories….especially of “the boss’s” explanation of his work. He clearly loves his work!!!"
