Apartment “La Terrazza” is a romantic, lovely apartment fully renewed in the historical centre, close to the characteristic open-market of S. Ambrogio. It is located inside a gorgeous XVIII c. palace of Borgo la Croce which has a monumental stone staircase.
With its spacious living/dining room, and a comfortable double size bed, it is the perfect choice for two persons who wish to visit Florence by walk. It has an independent kitchen area fully furnished with dishwasher, oven, microwave, and fridge with freezer; one bathroom with shower; independent laundry area with lavatory and washing machine. The apartment has all the furniture needed plus TV, DVD and air conditioning system. La Terrazza takes its name from the marvellous 34m2 private terrace that has a 360 degrees view of Florence; Piazzale Michelangelo stands right in front of the terrace, across the Arno river; it is the perfect place to enjoy the characteristic fireworks of June 24th during the San Giovanni festival. The terrace is equipped with table and chairs, useful if you want to enjoy a romantic dinner over Florentine roofs.

The Tuscany region

In addition, the Tuscan region is full of marvellous historical town, like Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano, where to admire museums, work of arts or just walk along the pedestrian streets which still preserve a charming historical look.

Florence / Central Florence area
The capital of Italian Renaissance. You will be surrounded by works of art and buildings of great historic and architectural prestige, which range in time from the medieval period to the XX century. Michelangelo, Raffaello, Leonardo, Donatello, Botticelli, Giotto and Cimabue are just a few of the greatest artists of whom you can appreciate the works here.
Placed along the Arno river, and surrounded by characteristic hills, Florence is also the perfect starting point for excursions in the marvelous Tuscan countryside. If you are not satisfied yet, the Versilia seaside is at just 1 hour by car. If you prefer to shopping: then Florence is THE place for that, Prada, Roberto Cavalli, Ferragamo, Gucci and many more shops will wait you in the down town.
How to get there
It is located in down town Florence, in via Borgo La Croce close to the intersection with Via Mattonaia.
You may fly to Florence. From Florence Airport (if you do not want to take a taxi): Volainubus airport shuttle connect Amerigo Vespucci airport with Florence town centre. Tickets are available on board. You may leave the bus at Florence Train Station Santa Maria Novella.
As an alternative, you may also fly to Pisa airport, which is larger and offers cheaper flights. From Pisa Airport you may get a train--there is one every 30 minutes circa--to Firenze Santa Maria Novella (Firenze SMN) which is the central station of Florence Santa Maria Novella.
From Santa Maria Novella Train Station you may take a taxi (about 8 minutes) or the mini electric bus: Line A Electric � Minibus, which stops in via Borgo La Croce just in front of us, or by walk in about 15 - 20 minutes.

Low Season: November – December – January – February. High Seasons: all the other months and festivities. The Apartment is for 2 persons only. The rental period is normally on weekly base. Minimum rental period is 5 days on demand and availability in low season. Extras: Gas (Euro 2,00/cubic meter); Electricity (Euro 0,50/kwh); final cleaning (Euro 30,00) for rentals less than 1 week. Extra charge for bookings on the 24th of June (fireworks event of San Giovanni festival) Xmas and Easter holidays. Rates are subject to change without notice. Cautionary refundable deposit of Euro 200,00 to be paid in cash by the Client on arrival and will be refunded upon departure less the eventual additional charges. Changeover day: Friday (flexible). Check in: afternoon from 16:00 to 19:30. Check out: morning from 8:30 to 10:00.
Note: The Apartment is completely equipped with all necessary fittings for leaving and cooking and delivered in clean and tidy conditions. The Client has to leave it in the same way before departure. Bed and bath linen are supplied on arrival and replaced once a week each Friday. All other consumables are at Client’s charge. General Rental Conditions will apply for the rental period.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL HOLIDAY-MAKERS: La Terrazza is not an official tourist structure, such as an hotels, residences, etc. but private house. Being such, it does not have standards or categories that are internationally recognized, indeed it reflect, in its architecture and furnishing, the local traditions and the personal taste of the owner.
This is precisely the kind of holiday we offer: the chance to partake in the culture of Tuscany, living in the same surroundings as an inhabitant would. In order to live this experience in the right spirit, it is important not only that the holiday-maker accepts but also that he will be able to appreciate the differences in the properties we are proposing in comparison with those where he normally lives.
