IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL HOLIDAY-MAKERS:

La Terrazza is not an official tourist structure, such as an hotels, residences, etc. but private house. Being such, it does not have standards or categories that are internationally recognized, indeed it reflect, in its architecture and furnishing, the local traditions and the personal taste of the owner.

This is precisely the kind of holiday we offer: the chance to partake in the culture of Tuscany, living in the

same surroundings as an inhabitant would. In order to live this experience in the right spirit, it is important

not only that the holiday-maker accepts but also that he will be able to appreciate the differences in the

properties we are proposing in comparison with those where he normally lives.

The Tuscany region

Tuscany, a region famous for its sun, its warm weather, its beautiful hills covered with nature. In addition, the Tuscan region is full of marvellous historical town, like Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano, where to admire museums, work of arts or just walk along the pedestrian streets which still preserve a charming historical look.

If you like shopping, then you will be satisfied: Tuscany is also one of the world capitals of mode and fashion. Florence is famous for leather works; Volterra for alabaster, Impruneta for terracotta, San Gimingano for ceramics...and so on. Prada, Roberto Cavalli, Ferragamo, Gucci are just some of the fashion names which have their headquarters in Tuscany.

Florence

The capital of Italian Renaissance. You will be surrounded by works of art and buildings of great historic and architectural prestige, which range in time from the medieval period to the XX century. Michelangelo, Raffaello, Leonardo, Donatello, Botticelli, Giotto and Cimabue are just a few of the greatest artists of whom you can appreciate the works here.

Placed along the Arno river, and surrounded by characteristic hills, Florence is also the perfect starting point for excursions in the marvelous Tuscan countryside.
