Lovely apartment in Florence
Apartment | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Our apartments (I'm the owner of the ref 21897 too) are situated on the 3rd floor in a small building on a silent and narrow street between the river Arno and Tornabuoni street, a few steps from Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery, very close to all shops, banks and pharmacies.
The Dante and Beatrice apartments are a little piece of Florence in Florence. despite the 3rd floor you are really in the centre of everything!
The 2 properties were indeed 1 big property that we have divided 10 years ago.
It was my grandparents apartment...my grandfather won the apartment playing the lottery in 1960.
They have been living there until their death, when my parents and I decided to restore and divide in 2 smaller apartments.
Needless to say that the two apartments are for me something very special...a place where I grew up and loved.
we have restored them with love and passion, taking care to preserve the rustic tuscan look....the greater part of the furniture belonged to my grandparents.
The furniture, the decorations, the original ceilings...everything speaks about the rustic and tuscan feeling.
I think that beyond visiting a place you have above all to live it...and your holiday apartment has to give you an emotion when you enter in.
It has to make you feel at home away home. That's what I try to convey throught my 2 littles "jewels"!.
They have been recently restored by us ourselves according to the rustic Tuscan taste. The 7395 is perfect for 2 people but suitable for 3/4. The apartment is composed by a nice bedroom (queen size), a romantic intermediate floor with a multicolour roof window, a large corridor, an original Tuscan kitchen fully equipped, and a bathroom (with shower).

The Tuscany region
Tuscany is a charmed land, equally blessed by the genius of man and nature, and often by the combined efforts of both. Think of the vineyards: rows of baby green vines that manage somehow to march in arrow-straight formation up the gently rolling hillsides, bounded by single files of darker green cypress trees, snaking sandy roads leading to rust-coloured farmhouses and moss-coated castles, symmetrically rounded hilltops surmounted by towns so homogeneous as to seem one single building. Every inch of land has been sculpted, first by the elements and then by generations of inhabitants whose goals were always twofold: make the land produce as much as possible, make the land as beautiful as possible. Tuscany enchants us today because it holds together as a region, from the tiniest hamlet to Florence the Magnificent. For the living proof, take a short walk one day along the sides of the Belvedere in Florence: you will leave behind the traffic and suddenly find yourself strolling down quiet lanes bounded by tall stone walls, cypress trees and creamy-coloured villas. You could be anywhere in Tuscany, and we dare you not to fantasize about living here.
The cultural and historical impact of Florence (or Firenze) is overwhelming. Close up, however, the city is one of Italy's most atmospheric and pleasant, retaining a strong resemblance to the small late-medieval centre that contributed so much to the cultural and political development of Europe.
Its striking buildings, formidable galleries and treasure-crammed churches attest to the Florentine love of display. Even long after it had set on the political and economic horizon, Florence upheld its elegant appearance: its skyline, all russet rooftops and lofty domes, is indeed picturesque.

The apartment was very central, had all the necessary utilities required. It had a lovely bathroom with lots of hot water. (There were 4 of us staying there). Elena was very helpful in giving advice where to go and how to get there. There was a problem with one of the beds and Elena fixed it immediately, she was very good and I would recommend the apartment to groups of 4 or less. We booked the apartment at the last minute as we had a problem with our previous apartment and Elena was very very helpful. Don't know what we would have done without her help.

"Great loft apartment"
We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was great location and we had no problems. The owner is very nice and provided some very helpful advise on her favorite spots in Florence and areas to avoid. This apartment was perfect for 3 people. The one bed room was very large and the lofted room was perfect for one. The AC and hot water worked well also. Be aware there is a 3 floor walk up but well worth it for the good price.

"Fantastic! More than I bargained for!"
I came to Florence for a week to visit my son who is studying there for a year. While I thought about staying in a hotel, the idea of renting an apartment was appealing. I was extremely pleased with this apartment. It was in a wonderful area of Florence - very close to all the major sites. The apartment was nicely decorated and very comfortable! Elena, the owner, could not have been more helpful and charming. Staying here made one feel like a real Florentine while in reality I still remained a lowly tourist!

"romantic home away home"
Beautiful and comfortable home, decorated with charming, rustic objects and family heirlooms, such as antique furniture passed down the generations. A very romantic little place.
It is ideally situated, in the heart of the old town.

"Darling authentic Italian getaway"
This was our fourth apartment in a month of traveling in both Greece and Italy-it was by far the best. Quiet and quaint location, darling and clean interior, and wonderful owner. Elena met us and pulled out a map and showed us the best bakery (just down the street), the best gelato (just across the river), and the major tourist sites she'd recommend. All these were in walking distance, but we were not in a tourist area so less crowded. The space was darling-just like the pictures but better. We will be back! Thanks, Julie
