Home description
Our apartment is situated on the 3rd floor in a small building on a silent and narrow street between the river Arno and Tornabuoni street, a few steps from Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery, very close to all shops, banks and pharmacies. It has been recently restored by us ourselves according to the rustic Tuscan taste. It's perfect for 2 people but suitable for 3/4. The apartment is composed by a nice bedroom (queen size), a romantic intermediate floor with a multicolour roof window, a large corridor, an original Tuscan kitchen fully equipped, and a bathroom (with shower).

The Tuscany region
Tuscany is a charmed land, equally blessed by the genius of man and nature, and often by the combined efforts of both. Think of the vineyards: rows of baby green vines that manage somehow to march in arrow-straight formation up the gently rolling hillsides, bounded by single files of darker green cypress trees, snaking sandy roads leading to rust-coloured farmhouses and moss-coated castles, symmetrically rounded hilltops surmounted by towns so homogeneous as to seem one single building. Every inch of land has been sculpted, first by the elements and then by generations of inhabitants whose goals were always twofold: make the land produce as much as possible, make the land as beautiful as possible. Tuscany enchants us today because it holds together as a region, from the tiniest hamlet to Florence the Magnificent. For the living proof, take a short walk one day along the sides of the Belvedere in Florence: you will leave behind the traffic and suddenly find yourself strolling down quiet lanes bounded by tall stone walls, cypress trees and creamy-coloured villas. You could be anywhere in Tuscany, and we dare you not to fantasize about living here.
Florence / Central Florence area
The cultural and historical impact of Florence (or Firenze) is overwhelming. Close up, however, the city is one of Italy's most atmospheric and pleasant, retaining a strong resemblance to the small late-medieval centre that contributed so much to the cultural and political development of Europe.
Its striking buildings, formidable galleries and treasure-crammed churches attest to the Florentine love of display. Even long after it had set on the political and economic horizon, Florence upheld its elegant appearance: its skyline, all russet rooftops and lofty domes, is indeed picturesque.

Guestbook for Lovely apartment
The mantra of Real Estate agents when they are asked the three most important considerations about a house are — "location, location and location". Well, let´s say this sums up Elena´s apartment if you want to explore the city of Florence. And...it was clean. What more could one have asked for?" Many thanks John F.
"Enchanting comfortable apartment close to everything in Florence. Walking distance to train station and all major tourist sites. We felt very much at home and had a great stay."
We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay in early July. Elena is very friendly and provided her mobile number in case we needed to call her for any reason. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Our daughters were well pleased to have their own space up in the loft. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. Very good water pressure in the shower, although the temperature was a bit tough to control. The newly installed air conditioning was greatly appreciated! The apartment was also ideally located on a small street with just a bit of noise during the evening. We were easily able to pop back to the apartment during the day for meals or just for a rest. We did not mind the stairs at all (except on the first day while hauling our luggage up!) Elena's recommendations for gelato and food were fantastic. We ended many of our days with a cheap take away meal from La Spada and a stroll across the nearby bridge to La Carraia Gelateria. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Florence."
The welcome that Elena gave us was wonderful. She spent time to give us the key, show us around the place, gave us a map of Florence and recommended places to see, eat and shop. The apartment was well equipped and had everything that we needed to get started. The place was very comfortable when looking for a break from exploring Florence. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone."
