La Loggia
About the home
Apartment situated at the 5st floor with elevator of an ancient building in the really historic centre of Florence.
It's an open space of 60 square metres with a double bedroom in the soppalco. There are windows on all the four sides for a wonderful view on the city amenities, and you can go down and Florence is at your hand.
Stay in the Loggia is like being on the deck of a ship, but there isn't under the sea, but the city of Florence. It dominates the whole city and its finest monuments, thanks to large windows that surround on three sides. We admire from the south east to south west, the church of San Miniato, the Michelangelo's Forte Belvedere, the tower of the Bargello, the church of the Badia and the Palazzo della Signoria, then we move the eyes to admire the dome of Brunelleschi and the Bell Tower of Giotto, ending with the hills of Fiesole located on the north side of the house. This sense of ownership of the city is almost inebriant, the breathing is full and rewarding, surrounded by so much beauty you can breathe differently and live with a complete awareness. Reading, listening to good music, go out and be in the heart of the city give a particular character to this small house and yet so large. Few can be in Florence and dominate it both spiritually and practically. No noise comes to the Loggia, but just get to be immersed in everyday life and masterpieces that are intensely aware of Florence, perhaps, the most artistic city in the world. Tuscan cusine offers intense flavors and aromas while cooking simple, almost poor, vegetables and meat are combined to bring out their natural qualities. There are food markets in the area of Sant'Ambrogio and San Lorenzo, where you can find farmers who sell the their products. The shopping is varied: the shops of high fashion in Via Tornabuoni, in the stalls of Piazza San Lorenzo there is something for every purse. Restaurants and wine shops are everywhere, in Florence, home of Chianti Classico. The theaters offer very good music and performances.

The Tuscany / Firenze Province region

Tuscany (Italian: Toscana) is a region in Italy. It has an area of 22,990 square kilometres (8,880 sq mi) and a population of about 3.6 million inhabitants. The regional capital is Florence.
Tuscany is known for its landscapes and its artistic legacy.
The Florence / Central Florence area
Florence (Italian: Firenze, Old Italian: Fiorenza, Latin: Florentia) is the capital city of the Italian region of Tuscany, and of the province of Florence. It is the most populous city in Tuscany and has a population of approximately 364,779.
The city lies on the Arno River and is known for its history and its importance in the Middle Ages and in the Renaissance, especially for its art and architecture. A centre of medieval European trade and finance, the city is often considered the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance; in fact, it has been called the Athens of the Middle Ages.[1] It was long under the de facto rule of the Medici family. From 1865 to 1870 the city was also the capital of the Kingdom of Italy.
The historic centre of Florence continues to attract millions of tourists each year and was declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1982.
Florence is also home of Serie A team ACF Fiorentina.
Florence has many opportunities: museums (Galleria degli Uffici, Bargello, ...) , music (Maggio Musicale), food ( excellent restaurants), market ( San Lorenzo food and dresses, Sant'Ambrogio food, Cascine dresses ...)

Guestbook for La Loggia
Dear Luca and Tommaso

Madame B.
"The apartment was enchanting. It was spacious, had gorgeous view in every direction, everything worked perfectly and the location couldn't have been more ideal. We could easily walk to everything, come home for a nice siesta in the afternoon and go out again at night, feeling safe coming home late in our neighborhood. The apartment was convenient to a good grocery store and our host was very gracious" Madame H.
