Just a few blocks to Piazza Santa Croce, Duomo, Uffizi Gallery & just around the corner from the Sant'Ambrogio food market, which locals view as the best food market in Florence. The apartment is quiet and bright and puts you in the heart of Florence, with all the major sites within easy walking distance. Veronica is an ideal apartment for those who put a premium on location and budget.
The apartment is on the ground floor and is filled with light from its windows that open out onto the terrace & courtyard area. The charming setting recalls the feeling of Gregory Peck's bachelor apartment in Roman Holiday, with the interesting, private courtyard, little balconies and private staircases. You will experience a hidden aspect of Florence you likely never knew existed.
The welcoming outdoor patio is a special feature of this apartment. In pleasant weather, this will be your outdoor living room, where you can sit out and enjoy meals under the stars, while enjoying the fact that Florence is at your doorstep. The patio is furnished with a table with umbrella and patio chairs.
Once you enter the apartment through the double patio doors a small foyer greets you. To your right is the fully equipped kitchen which has a large window above the sink overlooking the patio. The kitchen has a 4-burner cooker, oven with broiler and an under-counter refrigerator. You will delight in the wonderful array of fresh food that can be purchased at the nearby Sant'Ambrogio market and can enjoy preparing meals in the kitchen. During mild weather, enjoy meals al fresco on the patio.
The bedroom has a double bed, TV, a little table that can be opened up and can accommodate up to four chairs. At the end of the bedroom is a small dressing room with good closet space, which leads to the bath.
The living room has a small built-in sofa, a work table & a large glass door that opens up onto the pleasant patio. In the living room is an upholstered side chair that is a clever design, as it can be unfolded to become an extra twin bed which can be set up in the living room or bedroom.
Bathroom is large & up-to-date with fully enclosed shower, sink, bidet, toilet. The apartment has handwome terracotta floor tiles throughout & wireless internet access.
There is a four night minimum booking period.

The Tuscany region
Tuscany - Chianti wine region, famous medieval hill towns, historic sites.
The neighborhood abounds with good restaurants and excellent resources for daily living. The renowned Il Cibreo restaurant is on the same street as the Veronica apartment. In addition to the Sant'Ambrogio market, there are many interesting food shops, bakeries and small stores. World famous Vivoli's gelato is just a few blocks away. Line up with locals and tourists alike to satisfy your sweet tooth, with some of the best ice cream in the world.
Florence / Central Florence area
Nearby is Sant' Ambrogio di Pietro Piana one of the oldest churches in Florence & the Florence National Library and Archives. The Uffizi, Bargello, Duomo are all within a 10-minute walk. If you like to walk, cross over the nearby Ponte alle Grazie to the Oltrarno side of Florence and take an invigorating walk up to Forte di Belvedere or Piazzale Michelangelo in 20 minutes, where you can take in some of the finest views of the city.
The Veronica apartment delights the visitor, as it is well hidden behind a small apartment building. After entering the apartment building, one walks up 18 steps, then through a small corridor, then down 14 steps, where the entrance to the apartment is to be found off a courtyard. The safety, privacy and quiet of this special hideaway location is a treasure in the centre of Florence.
